weekends make me happy.

Weekends make me happy.

Here’s how I spent this one….

FRIDAY:

Pizza + Project Runway
=
no photos.  just hanging out.

Oh…and we watched this movie.
So good.

SATURDAY:

German pancakes for breakfast
sprinkled with powdered sugar
and drizzled with lemon juice.
Although they call them dutch babies.

After that we went skeet shooting.  Neither of us had ever been, so we headed up into Mt. Hood National Forest to try it out.  It was actually pretty fun.

The spring arm to launch the clay pigeons apparently needed some assembly unbeknownst to Craig.
Craig shoots….

This is right after he hit the target.
And this is also his “stank face”
if you couldn’t tell.
I wish I had the audio of this.
I shot a total of three times.
The kickback was a bit much for me.
After that I stuck to launching
the clay pigeons for Craig.

After we were done we got Mexican food
and watched DVR’d shows
until I had to leave to babysit
for the cutest kids ever.
They make me want babies.
SUNDAY:

Went to the Portland Saturday Market with my friend Liz.
While we were there we tried about
five different kettlecorn samples
along with various other offerings.

I bought this shirt for Craig.
(L.A. is the nickname for one of the players
LaMarcus Aldridge)
In case you didn’t know….
It’s our only pro sports team.
These photos are from last year.
OK….back to the Saturday Market…..
Here are some other pretty things we saw.
and a cool booth where you choose a vintage button
and they make it into a ring in 20 minutes.
Totally getting one next time.
After that we had sushi.
I heart sushi.
AND….I tried a new recipe
for dinner when I got home.
And had one of my favorite desserts:

The weekend was fun, but definitely went by too fast.

How was your weekend?

Ive tried shooting a shotgun and the kick back was too much for me too, much better for me to use the air rifle (we shoot at dinner plates lol) even then, i lost my concentration last weekend and got the site in my nose which bled 🙁 I worked this weekend, which is fun in it’s own way. The queues at the shop were long!
