blog friends.

Blog friends are the best.
Some of my closest friends have been made through blogging.
(although we did actually have a class together in college previously without actually remembering it)
and….
(…who I’ve already seen more times in the past year than many of my friends who live in the same state!)
And yesterday I met Kacie ofย
and her adorable little Gwyneth!
She was lovely and we had a great time chatting all things baby and blogging as we enjoyed coffee from Heart and ate macarons and croissants at Alder. ย I think it was the beginning of a great friendship.
(Check out her MUCH better pictures than my own of our meet upย over at her blog HERE.)
It’s always so much fun meeting fellow bloggers!

How do you feel about bloggy meet-ups?
Have you met any blog friends in real-life?
Do share!

  1. i love my ‘internet friends’ i’ve made through blogging. i haven’t met any yet in real life. but i’ll be moving to portland in either january or may [wink, wink] ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I went on a blog meet up in Las Vegas in the summer and met two bloggers in real life but went down there with three bloggers who I have been friends foramy years. It was awesome. Us six girls just clicked. I’ve also met many bloggers and fellow tweeters in real life. Whenever I get the opportunity I will try and meet a blogger because you never know what true friendships will come out of it. It’s really nice to see how many friends you’ve made through your blog.

  3. Meeting fellow bloggers in real life is the best, I wish I had the opportunity to meet more of my blog friends!

  4. I love blogger meetups! I really think that all my best friends are bloggers.

  5. I love bloggy friends. I’ve met one person, Jan, she doesnt really blog anymore. It was so great to connect with her on a personal level & talk about her blog.

  6. I’ve never met anyone from blogging but have made some long distance e-mail friendships. I’d love to be able to meet some of the people that I have met and am so fond of! How cool of you to have met so many and taken such great photo’s to keep as memories!

  7. It’s awesome that you have so many blog-turned-real-life friends! I had for so long wished to meet fellow bloggers, and finally I am going to my very first bloggy meetup next week. So excited!

  8. I’ve never had a blog meet-up, but I would love to someday. I’m sure some of the bloggers I interact with I could be great friends with, if we lived closer together. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. The blogging community is amazing in the sense that there are so many fun and creative people. I have made quite a few friends but the one that has been the closest is Katie from The Pink and Blue Blog we live on opposite sides of the country and she ended up asking to skype one time. From that moment we have been collaborating working together and sharing life, which is why we launched http://www.blogbrunch.com yesterday, which is focused on building the blogging community first through once a month twitter meetups and eventually through physical brunches in various cities around the us. So i hope to make many more blog friends in the future!!

  10. Is that the only picture you have of me?! Haha I’m such a lady. ๐Ÿ™‚ Im jealous of your little date to Heart and Alder…did you like Alder? I really want to try the macarons next time! Can’t wait for Fri! I’m trying to decide what to do for dessert…maybe Papa Haydn? Such a hard choice. Bennett keeps saying “bye bye lolo”…cause he saw your picture go by when I was reading your post! ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. That picture of Becca is amazing.

Also, how is Alder? I drive by it all the time, but have never been.

  12. Yay. I feel exactly the same. Can’t WAIT to spend more time with you.

  13. I love my blogger friends (in real life and virtual ones that I’ve made). ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. I love this! Tried to arrange a Portland blogger meet-up a few months back, which fell through.

Would be fun to start a “blog club” (instead of book club). Clever, I know.

  15. I love my blog friends and I hope that one day I’ll be able to meet them in real-life!

  16. Agreed! I’ve met some great friends through this blog world and they are amazing. We have the best time when we get together and laugh so much.

  17. I’ve never met any blog friends in real life. But guess what? I’m going to be in Portland this weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€

  18. I love the idea of a blogging meet up… I feel like I’ve gotten to know many bloggers better than some of my friends because they are constantly updating about their lives. It is funny because there are a few Portland area blogs that I am in love with and many of the ladies either have kiddos or are pregnant. My (wonderful) friend group is amazing and a lot of fun to hang out with, but they don’t have children and I would like for my kiddo to be around other kids as he grows up. I keep thinking about suggesting a blog meet up and then chickening out. Maybe I will set something up soon… I’m always down for a good little party.
