adventures in weekending.

This weekend I….
Ate Five Guys with these guys.
Learned way more about boobs than I ever thought was possible.
I went to a lactation class and yes…there was a fake boob like this one used to demonstrate…But it still didn’t stop the hippy dippy instructor from referring to her own.  Often.  Awkward.  But…I am definitely much more well-informed/less nervous about breast feeding now, so that’s good.
Got a new dresser for Fern’s nursery after endless craigslist searching.
Spent a lot of the weekend washing and folding teeny tiny baby clothes to put inside.
Attended my family baby shower and we all made cute little wooden dolls for Fern.
Here’s our little family:  Craig, me, Fern and Marley.
Ummmm….
And that’s about it.
Not extraordinarily busy, but I’m exhausted!  I think pregnancy is finally starting to catch up with me.
What did you do this weekend?

  14. BF-ing is easy! promise…once both you and fern get the hang of it you will be pros! I never supplemented alomae once and she is the healthiest kid ever (Poppy is doing great too!) . If you need encouragement and support when fern arrives, you know who to call!

  15. I love the little wooden people!

The last session of my birthing class was all about breastfeeding, she demonstrated with fake boobs too, but they weren’t as cool. The knit ones are kind of fun. The ones in our class were made out of the same material as a cabbage patch doll.

  18. that dresser is precious! Your instructor sounds like a hoot.

  19. That fake boob is too funny! I felt the class was so helpful, but yes, the consultants have no shame, and soon neither will you! Good luck!
