fill in the blank friday.

Today is Friday,
the day we fill blanks.

And today’s theme is….COLOR!
Hope you’ll play along!

1.  My favorite color is     grey   .

2.   My home decor color palette includes   a lot of greens, browns, greys and yellows    .

3.  Other people always tell me I look good in the color     red…I think a lot of really dark-haired brunettes probably get that too. And basically all jewel-tones    .

4. The color I detest is    is pink…and purple. I think I OD’d on them during my childhood. I blame Lisa Frank .

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you’d see would be   neutrals with a couple of brighter pops of color. A lot of my closet is grey and black .

6. A color that I simply cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is   most yellows. I have olive toned skin and yellow makes me look super washed out and kind of yellow. It’s not a good look…unless I use it sparingly with accessories or find the absolute perfect yellow   .

7.  The color of my favorite dress is   white…and lacey. I know lacey isn’t a color, but I thought it was worth noting   .

Hope your weekend is wonderful!

  1. HAHAHA – I am just now coming around to purple after about 15 years of it being my LEAST favorite color. I am not a pink fan, unless it’s an accent color & not on EVERYTHING. And i too should totally blame Lisa Frank. 😉

  2. Hahaha, I think Lisa Frank ruined MANY of us for the pink and purple genre. So many unicorns…

  3. i agree about brunettes in jewel tones… the emerald green is a great color for us as well!!

    i love anything lacey, too!!

  4. I remember last year I was wearing a jewel toned cardigan and cami and my boss commented on how good the colors look on me. I love jewel tones BUT sometimes I hate that I don’t look as good in pastels.

  5. I’m kind of jealous that you wear white so well. I look absolutely terrible in it. I think it has something to do with my skin being ghost white. When I was a kid, two mean boys used to call me Casper.

  6. I enjoyed this weeks Fill in the blanks a lot, it’s always fun to try to define yourself by means of the colors you use.
    Have a great weekend!

  7. New follower here! I just found your blog and your Fill-in-the-blank-Friday and I’m loving it! Can’t wait to link-up next week!…Oh and your German Shepard is precious!! =)

  8. Love this theme Lauren! I was so excited to see the blanks for this Friday– unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do them until tonight.

Hope you got to enjoy this lovely sunny day (I’m in PDX too!) 🙂
