barnes & noble $25 giveaway and a great cause.

I have a prediction that I will one day have
a little librarian on my hands.
Ever since we decided on the name “Fern”, my brother-in-law swore that we were going to have a little librarian on our hands and as far as I can tell from her interests so far, he may be right!  Fern LOVES books. She will almost always choose a book over a toy and every morning when she wakes up, she crawls out of bed and over to her little book shelf and proceeds to pull out every book on the shelf and will entertain herself by looking through them for a half hour at a time.
I am trying to foster a love for reading early in Fern, because I know that reading is so important for little one’s.

AND…because of this, I am super excited for today’s giveaway and the program behind it.
In celebration of National Family Literacy Day on November 1st, Capital One’s Investing for Good program is sponsoring a book by book program and it’s really quite fantastic.
Basically, Capital One will be donating up to 50,000 books to kids who lack access to good books, but in order to donate all these books, they need you to get involved and all it takes is a Facebook “Like” and a few votes to give a kid a book.
And, to sweeten the deal I’m offering a giveaway here as incentive to go vote. You can win a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card and kids will get books. It’s really a win/win situation for all parties.
In order to enter, here’s what you need to do:
2. Go vote for your top 5 favorite children’s books (here) – the top picks will be included in the donation.
3. Leave a comment here telling me what your top 5 children’s book picks were
FOR EXTRA ENTRIES:
*Tweet, Facebook or Pin this giveaway (one entry for each – and please include links)
*Blog about this program and/or giveaway (include a link)
That’s it! Such a great program and I really do hope you’ll join in and spread the word!
