christmas 1.0 and what fern wore #9.

This year we had Christmas before Christmas.

My sister-in-law is a nurse and will be working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so we celebrated yesterday instead and throughout the course of the day, I learned two very important things:

1. Babies don’t care that it’s Christmas.

They don’t know the difference between Christmas and a random Tuesday and will probably just want to nap through the whole thing. Case in point: We arrived at my in-laws at 11:30 and Fern proceeded to nap from 12:30 until 4:30 and missed most of our Christmas.

2. Babies don’t care about presents.

Fern’s first present was this cool wooden activity barn and after seeing it, she wasn’t very interested in any of the other Christmas offerings. I thought she’d be into ripping the paper up at least, but alas… This is why I’m planning on wrapping up random crap for her to open instead on our little family Christmas on Tuesday morning (see what randomness I’m wrapping up here).

Even so, she still looked pretty darn cute not unwrapping presents.

Shirt: Zara
Cardigan: Children’s Place
Skirt: Target
Tights: H&M
Shoes: Old Navy

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas Eve!
