So, occasionally I’ll get comments in my Instagram feed about how Fern “looks exactly like” their child or their friends’ child. Most of the time when I flip over to that person’s IG feed, I end up thinking…yeah…not so much. But, ever since I connected with the lovely Kelsey Williams of Williams Words and Snappy Casual (@kelseywilliams on IG) and saw photos of her little Miss Rooney I couldn’t help but notice the resemblances between her and Fern. They’re like little toddler doppelgängers of one another. I feel like I am constantly doing double takes when photos of Rooney pop up in my Facebook and Instagram feeds, not only because of their similar features, but also because they have so many of the same items of clothing in their closets!
Kelsey and Rooney are some of our most favorite internet friends and for awhile now we’ve been saying we needed to do some fun fashion posts with these girls and we’ve finally gotten around to it! We picked three pieces from our girl’s closets that they had in common: a green army vest, a denim button-up shirt, and a striped top and then styled them individually. Ashley – YES! They’re super cute and comfy and really supportive for her ankles. Fern is a bit pigeon toed and has trouble not tripping when she runs. I knew she needed more supportive shoes, but I just couldn’t bring myself to purchase any of those ugly pink options from Stride Rite. All of the supportive kid’s shoes I’ve seen are totally heinous, but these are great and I like that they’re so easy to put on.

Fern doesn’t look at all like my baby girl but I can safely state they do have something in common. They are so cute and adorable and they make motherhood such an unique experience, full of joy and bliss. They make us feel complete, aren’t they?
