What Fern Wore: 90's Inspired Style for FabKids

Awhile back I was invited to try out FabKids for Fern. FabKids is an online outfit subscription shop that was started by a group of parents (including Christina Applegate) and it’s actually really cool and different from some of the others I’ve seen – namely in the fact that it’s so affordable!

The basic rundown is that you take a style quiz and then every month you get a “FabShop” filled with outfit picks curated for your little one. You can look through the outfits and choose one you like, but if none of them speak to you that particular month , you can decide to pass and you won’t be charged for that month (as long as you pass by the 10th of the month). If you forget to skip that month you’ll be given a credit that can be used for a future month, so it’s not a big deal even if you forget.

Oh…and did I mention that every outfit is only $29.95? I was slightly skeptical about hat the quality would be like for that price, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Also, the fit was great!

A lot of the styles were a bit on the bright side for my taste, but there were definitely still plenty of outfits that I knew Fern and I would both love. This outfit is a perfect example. The dress is something I would absolutely choose for her (I love the zipper detail in back!) and the daisy leggings are like a little girl’s dream come true. You should’ve seen how excited she was over them! They totally reminded me of something Blossom or her friend Six would’ve worn in the 90’s. All that was missing was one of these bucket hats with a massive flower – remember those? Oh man…those hats were terrible, but I’m pretty sure I owned one.

This outfit definitely had a 90’s inspired vibe to it, but in a good way…not a Blossom hat kind of way. Perfect for a day spent at the zoo with friends!
