25 down….

I love birthdays. It’s the one day of the year that’s all about you. The presents are less about things you “need” like they tend to be at Christmas and more about thing’s you’ll “enjoy”…everything is just a little bit superfluous and I love that.

This year was really fun and Craig made it so special (even though he was feeling a bit under the weather). He got me an iphone so now I can be a part of the club, since pretty much everyone in both of our families have them. It’s so great and now I’ll never get lost again!
He also braved clothes shopping for me. Now that is true love. Not only were the things he picked out super cute, but everything fit perfectly.
For my birthday date we started out at Pok Pok for dinner. I’ve been wanting to try it forever as it’s been voted as a Top 10 restaurant by multiple publications and as restaurant of the year by others. It did not disappoint and I definitely have a new favorite.
We started out with drinks Craig got a southsidecar (I think that was the name) and I got a black raspberry vinegar soda and it was delicious!
For dinner we ordered: Ike’s Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings (spicy), Sil Khrong Muu Yaang (babyback ribs marinated in all things delicious) and Cha Ca La Vong (noodle-y amazingness with catfish).

After dinner we headed to Staccato Gelato where I got hazlenut and chocolate orange gelato.

Next it was off to the Moreland Theater to see “Away We Go”. So good. Check out the trailer here.

I love my husband and he did a great job making my birthday a truly lovely one :).
