more than you probably wanted to know.

I thought that since I have some followers now that don’t really know me, I’d give you a little intro to what makes me tick via a bunch of random facts because, really isn’t it the little random things that make up who we are?

Here are some things you may or may not care to know about me.

– As a child I lived in pink, sparkly, fringe cowboy boots.

– In 4th grade I snuck a dwarf bunny on the school bus.

– I literally could not boil water when I got married.

– I just learned what the chains in football are for.

– I use way to many elipses (….) when I write.

– I secretly wish I could dance…or maybe not so secretly. Sadly I can’t.

– I think marriage is a lot more work than I ever imagined but also way more fun too.

– I love birthdays and can’t wait to do them up big when I have kids.

– The only team sport I ever played was basketball in 8th grade. I only made two baskets.

  1. I never knew about your wedding ring tattoo. Am I allowed to say that it’s cool? Even though tattoos are bad? Let me just say, even though tattoos are bad, that you will probably especially appreciate that when you’re pregnant and your wedding ring doesn’t fit. Mine still doesn’t fit. I think I might have to size it up a little. It’s been months since I’ve looked down at my left ring finger and seen three pretty diamonds. Sigh…

  2. yay, i feel like i know you now πŸ™‚ i love your tattoo, i want something simple, and just one, but can’t decide on what. have you seen the sour patch kids commercial? where he like chops off one of her pig tails then hugs her leg? i <3 it. why were you upset about turning 25? your hair looks AWESOME in the Kenya pic. I didn't know there were chains in football... I'm a middle of the day girl, too. And german shepherds scare me.

  3. OH ok. we are totally twins. My middle name is Rose! I even wrote a post about it because when i first started dating sean he said he didn’t like that name and when i told him it was my middle name, he didn’t believe me! so funny! reading all your things makes me see how much alike we really are. i love your tattoo. that is so awesome. i am horrible at keeping surpises a secret too!

anyway thanks for sharing this πŸ™‚
also, thanks so much for sticking up for me on my blog. i don’t understand some people. i really joke a lot and most my whining is just me being a dork and not being serious even if i really am upset. it’s how i deal. i guess people don’t get that. anyway, i am so glad we are blog friends. you are amazing πŸ™‚

  4. I could live on cheese and bread too!

And please vent about Wal Mart…I hate it too!

    love, zenon

  5. Ditto on the hair and makeup thing – I’m not so great at those either. But I love clothes sooooo much! I have about 25 dresses, and yet every time I go shopping I find more pretty clothes that I want!

  6. my sisters middle name is rose! so you, chloe and my sister are twins! and i heart sour patch kids too. like way too much. i love any sour candy actually. could eat larrge amounts of it and not get sick or tired of it! xoxo

  7. These things are great. I’m a new follower and it’s great to learn more! It’s so funny how people that are complete strangers share the same random quirks. I think relationships in general are such hard work…(there go the elipses ha.) I think that it’s such a tribute to you and your man that you’ve been together so long! πŸ™‚

  8. thanks for all the comments guys! i love seeing what little quirky things we all have in common. so fun!

    and katie….

the reason for the tattoo is cause craig can’t wear his ring at work (working on cars) so he wanted to get it tattooed and said we should be matching. i almost babied out and didn’t get it. the actual tattooing took all of 40 seconds, but it didn’t tickle. i thought it would be nice for when i swell up like the blueberry girl in willy wonka during pregnancy and can’t wear my ring :). even though getting a tattoo is “bad” i think God would like it that craig’s trying to keep the hoochies away :).

  9. thanks for sharing! its nice to be able to get 2 noe u better! i wanna say i used to hate hate hate maths too! i dreaded everyday’s maths lesson @ school & asking me to practise mathematical qns is like asking me to drink poison =P and how sweet it is to have known ur hubby since 4th grade & to be married to him! πŸ˜€

  10. Wow what an amazing young lady you have become. Of course you know that dad and I are very proud of you. We’re blessed to know that we are part of your favorite things about today. It makes my heart happy to know, that not only are you amazing to me, but you are amazing to others too. The Pumpkin muffins were yummy and I think it was because we baked them together. We make a pretty good baking team. Thanks for helping me name my crock pot. Harriett will miss June. Perhaps they can get together again soon.

  11. Daddies little princess

What a lovely time I had with you today. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with you. I remember some of the random things that we would do together as you were growing up like taking you shopping for cloths just because, Watching Beaches, Terms of Endearment and Evening Star while you tried to catch me with a tear in my eye and me pretending the movies weren’t emotional. Don’t tell my friends or I’ll loose my man card. Going fishing down at High Rocks and you bored out of your mind. Going for wheeling in the lot by the church and you thinking we were going to die. Going for a walk to the river and trying not to get run over on hwy 224. Riding the bus to Washington square and then walking across hwy 217 to get to Malibu Grand Prix and trying not to get run over. By the way are you still having night mares about your childhood?

    Love Cream puff Daddy

  12. thanks for the sappy comments mom & dad :).

  13. hehe you are so cute! i love lists too and sour patch kids! yuuum πŸ™‚
    and what a cool tattoo!

  14. i don’t like roses either and love sour patch kids way too much. though i like meatloaf, i actually have a good recipe. and yes, california weather is the best!

  15. I’ve enjoyed perusing your blog! We have a German Sheppard too… I use elipses when I write as well. I didn’t realize that was what they were called. AND I dream of owning a bungalow as well!

  16. Hey pretty lady! Your blog came extremely and oh so highly recommended by darling Helena, and of course I had to stop over and see who this fabulous blogger was. I’ve spent some time on your blog and just know I am going to enjoy reading you moving forward, happy to be following along now! This is a great about me list, so fun. Oh, and my middle name is Rose too, Patricia Rose, named after my grandmother and great grandmother. πŸ™‚ xoxo – Trish

  17. Ahhh! I have favorite weeds too! lol. I thought that maybe I’m just weird (still might be). Now when my mom comes over and tisks because there are weeds growing by my fence I’ll be able to justify it to myself because I am no longer the only one! Anyway, I just found your blog and it’s great stuff so you got another reader πŸ™‚ Look forward to your posts!

  18. I know you are currently on a break from blogging but I just wanted to let you know I really love your site. I have been considering a blog break too (I’m one of those crazy bloggers who goes to every single commenter’s site) because sometimes you just need to recharge. I look forward to your return, pretty lady πŸ™‚ XO

  19. I know you posted this a while back but it made me happy that I found your blog. I would totally live in Portland. I know what you mean about not really aclimatizing (is that a real word?) b/c I moved from South Carolina to the Netherlands and I almost froze to death last winter but I survived πŸ™‚

Btw, I think your tattoo is awesome and the explanation for it is even better b/c you used the word hoochies…that made me laugh.

Yay for great lists on new blogs to explore <3

  20. Hi,
Your blog made me smile. I came across it via “The (real) simple life”
We have a lot in common like sandwiches, not being a morning or a late night person and loving clothes but feeling “eh” about make-up.
Check out my blog if you are so inclined http://www.clotheshorsenyc.com
    xx

  21. Ha – I sleep with earplugs, too! But I don’t have a dog who snores. I’m just a super light sleeper who, 10+ years ago had a woodpecker take nest outside my apartment window and had to take action if I was going to sleep. I’ve never looked back. Oh, I sleep with an eye mask, too. My husband calls it complete sensory deprivation. πŸ™‚

  22. I like the tattoo — and I’m not a tattoo person myself. I don’t think God looks at people’s tattoo’s, but their heart. I would actually like to see a closer picture of it — and his too. Also — would this earful about Wal-Mart be bad? Because I strongly dislike Wal-Mart and all that it stands for.
Great to learn more about you!
    <3 leigh

  23. Thanks for sharing! I could definitely relate to almost half of those….cali girl as well, living in colorado, never can keep nail polish on, etc!

So, what happened when you got to school with the dwarf bunny?! πŸ™‚ I used to teach 4th grade. Just wondering how the teacher reacted πŸ™‚

  24. I like lists too! πŸ™‚
I want to own a bungalow one day too!! I just LOVE them. They are so cute and cozy.. swoon!
I am intrigued about the WalMart comment, but not sure that I want an earful! πŸ™‚

    Nice to meet you!

  25. You are so cute! Let’s be blog friends. πŸ™‚

  26. 1. I am SO with you on being a lazy crafter, oh my word, LOL! it’s not even funny…

    2. I have always wanted, and maybe I will finally get, something tattooed under my wedding ring… hmmm.

    3. I didn’t even know there ARE chains in football, let alone what they are for. of course I am thinking along the lines of metal chains, and I’m guessing that’s probably not right. lol.

    4. I USE WAY TOO MANY ELLIPSES, TOO! I once heard on a sitcom that ellipses are the sluts of punctuation… I don’t know what that means for us.

    5. I could totally live on cheese and bread!!!

    6. I’m not so hot on hair and makeup either – possibly refer to number 1.

    7. I adore lists.

    8. I am addicted to blogs also because I love finding very random and funny things in common with other people πŸ™‚

  27. People get an earful about walmart from me, too…. haha :).

PS. Now you have 11 months to figure out what to do for that birthday. πŸ˜‰
