So…I kind of think New Year’s Eve is overrated. Every year I spend it scampering around at the last minute trying to find something cool to do, and every year this mission is a failure and I end up doing something substantially less cool than the unrealistic visions I had conjured up in my head. But, this year I don’t have any expectations, and I’m just excited that we’ll be hanging out with good friends Andy & Elisha (and a bunch of their friends too) and having good food, good drinks and fun times.
ALSO…I’m pretty excited about wearing this….
and a little of this…..
Sequins and feathers. So “un-me”, but I figured that if I can’t pull it off on New Year’s Eve, when can I pull it off? Exactly.

This is how I feel, too! Everyone makes such a big deal out of New Year’s that I feel like it should be amazing! And then I end up sitting on a couch somewhere while a bunch of friends scream and do “cider bombs” (since most of them don’t drink).
This year is looking similar, but I’m going to try to make the best of it!

I am the same way when it comes to sequins and feathers but I agree with you 100%. I tried to find the perfect flashy tank last night but I think all the Southern Belles in my area beat me too it the racks were empty.

couple of things… i have to see the shirt you are wearing! you know why? because i am not really a sequin type of gal either, but when i went on my emotional shopping spree because of golds gym a couple of weeks ago, i found this sequined cardigan in forever 21. and i thought to myself, “hmmm. that is not something i would normally wear, but it would be perfect for new years.” so i bought it. or so i thought i did. and i went to show sean all my new clothes and the sweater was not in there. apparently i dropped it before i bought it, so he went back with me to get it because i just had to wear it on new years. so i am currently wearing it, but super duper tired and i don’t feel like doing anything tonight. i feel all blinging but don’t have the mood to match! anyway, it looks very similar to that little snippet of a picture and it just made me gigggle because we always have so many of the same things! haha, can’t wait to see the whole outfit!

Sounds like your New Year’s Eve will be much cooler than mine. So far I have no plans, which is pretty normal for me.
i feel the same way about new years eve but this year we actually have plans that i’m looking forward to. a low key night with my brother and sister in law at their house (which is huge and beautiful), eating good food, drinking great wine and exchanging our christmas presents. low key plans are the best and it sounds like you’ll have a great time and look smokin too! can’t wait to see your pictures.

I agree about New Years being overrated. Josh and I still don’t know what we’ll be doing at midnight. Maybe we’ll just stay at home and sleep. How lame!

I always feel NYE is overrated. This year the plan is to go bowling w/ my friend Brandy and her extended fam who’s renting lanes at some alley. Hope they don’t mind that my average is like 50.
