a little love and the weekend too.

This weekend was lovely.
Filled with lovely things and lovely people.

Here’s what happened…..

FRIDAY:

Valentine’s party with my kiddos!
I dressed Valentine-y for the occasion.  Kids like that.

Then we went to dinner for Craig’s grams’ 86th b-day.
Isn’t she cute?
Pictures of the cool old restaurant.

SATURDAY:

Tea with Stacey…I forgot to take photos.
BUT….I had a lovely time meeting her husband.
and their puppy Onyx.

THEN….

Coffee with my Jamie James at Heart Roasters.
I had a brownie with sea salt + cardamom + pistachios.
DIVINE.

Then we crafted.  She crocheted.  I made jewelry.
THEN…..

Pizza with Craig from a new place we’d never tried.
Hot Rod Pizza.  I think it may become a new favorite.
AND…watched the Olympics.
SUNDAY:

Slept in.
Woke up.
Thought about going to breakfast.
But then Craig made me breakfast instead ♥.
After that we brainstormed ideas for a new bed.
That’s my present.
We came up with an idea.
Craig drew up the plans.
But due to car troubles…..he couldn’t get supplies.
So no bed yet.
Hopefully in the next few weeks.
It’s gonna be rad.
And I’m re-doing the whole room!
THEN….

I babysat.
I figured people with kids should get a V-day too.
We built a bat cave.
And made a bat signal using a flashlight and some paper.
SO…that was my weekend in a nutshell…….
and the best thing is…I’ve still got 2 days off!

I ♥ Valentine’s Day.

How was yours?  Hope it was filled with lovely things and lovely people.

  8. Okay, I’ve got lots of comments!
-I miss doing Valentine’s parties with the kids in my class when I was a teacher’s aide. I’d be in charge of the art project, and we always had so much fun!
-I LOVE the outfit you wore. The only belt I’ve found to fit around my waist is too summery for this time of year, but I can’t wait until it warms up so I can actually wear it. You pull of polka dots nicely, and that can be difficult!
-Craig’s gram is really cute, and I would have never guessed that she’s 86. That restaurant looks really pretty with those chandaliers, but I’m a sucker for a good chandalier!
-I’m so jealous that you have a friend you can craft with! None of my local friends are into making things, and my blog and etsy friends are too far away to have a crafting get together!
-The idea of the bat cave is so cute, and Craig did a nice job with the flashlight and paper. You two will make really fun parents when you decide to have kids!

Glad you had a nice weekend! Chris was in a much better mood this morning, so maybe I can talk him into a fort or something fun if we’re snowed in this evening and tomorrow!

  9. That bat cave is so cute! Looks like you had tons of fun 🙂

Going out with my friends was the highlight of my weekend. I don’t have a special someone to spend my Vday with yet.
