fill in the blank friday.

Apparently you all love
a good theme.

I got a lot of good feedback on last week’s music themed blanks, so I thought this week I’d go with movies.  I’d love for you to play along – just fill in the blanks on your own blog and then link back here using the link at the end of this post.  OR….just leave your answers in the comment section.

Blankety Blank!

{photo taken in Seattle: Pike’s Market.}

1.  My absolute favorite movie of all time is      “Anchorman”.  Something about Will Ferrell’s brand of humor never ceases to make my day   .

2.  My favorite movie as a child was      “Annie”.  For some reason we never actually owned it, but every weekend my parents would let us (my brother and I) choose one movie from the video rental store near our house and EVERY weekend I chose “Annie”.  It’s a wonder my parents didn’t go insane.  I still have all the songs memorized and frequently bust them out on long road trips with Craig 🙂 .

3.  The best movie quote ever is       from “The Notebook” when Noah says, “So it’s not gonna be easy.  It’s gonna be really hard.  We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you.  I want all of you, forever, you and me, everyday.”  I love it because it’s such a true picture of love – it really is hard, but definitely worth it   .

4.  My favorite actress is       Laura Linney.  She’s kind of incredible and I love all the awkward characters she plays.  Also     My favorite actor is       Morgan Freeman.  Especially in “10 Items or Less”.  It’s one of my favorites   .

5.  The movie I could watch over and over is     “Never Been Kissed”.  I’m not particularly fond of Drew Barrymore or romantic comedies and I know it’s a lame movie, but something about seeing Josie standing on the pitcher’s mound waiting for her “first real kiss” at the end of the movie, just makes me smile like an idiot every time   .

6.  My favorite movie genre is      indie or thriller/suspense. Don’t you love how I can never actually pick just ONE thing?  Craig always teases me about loving any movie so long as it has laurel leaves on the cover.  I like suspenseful movies with a twist at the end too….but I hate horror flicks. Not into gore   .

7.  A movie I’d like to watch this weekend is      “Precious”.  It’s been sitting on our coffee table for a week and I think Netflix would like it back soon    .

Hope you guys enjoyed this week’s blanks!

Happy weekend!

xo

  10. We used to do the same thing every week when I was a kid – my folks would let my brother and me pick out a movie. I always picked Little Monsters, this movie with Fred and Ben Savage (from the Wonder Years and Boy Meets World). I actually have the movie in my Netflix because it had been YEARS since I’ve seen it and I want to see how ridiculous it is, hehe.

  11. What a great list, so fun to get to know more about you! I too adore the movie Annie, I was actually in the play as a child (community theater, nothing too exciting) and for an eight year old, it was pretty cool to be one of the little orphans singing my heart out on stage! “You’re never fully dressed without a smileeee!!” 🙂 xox

  12. Love this list. That quote is amazing!

  13. Annie was my favorite movie as a kid too 🙂 i think i watched it on a daily basis.

  14. I grew up on Annie too!

  15. Aw, just reading the quote from the Notebook made me all mushy & teary eyed, lol. I loved that movie & also like watching Never Been Kissed, especially when I’m feeling all blah.

Thanks for the linky & fill in the blank friday, it’s so much fun!

  16. You read my mind! I was hoping you would do movies this week… I’ll be back with my answers very soon. 🙂

  17. Just finished doing mine, with movie clips too. This was FUN! Thanks!

  18. I missed out on FITB last couple of Fridays but im back ..i love your new themed Friday and ooh that quote is soo beautiful .. and ditto on the fav actor too ..i love and adore Morgan Freeman !

  19. Love Never Been Kissed! David Arquette so funny in that movie. This was a fun theme thanks!

    Happy weekend to you*

  20. anchorman is so genius. the humor never gets old.

“I wanna say something. I’m gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don’t, send it right back. I want to be on you.”

  21. Hi there! Im a fellow northwester (residing in ny) and I saw this over at Micaelas blog! Great idea! Thanks for hosting it 🙂

  22. I played along! Check out kaitlynsambitions.blogspot.com to see – I’m a movie lover for sure, so good one this week!

  24. these friday lists are really cute and fun – great idea! i just started following along – but i broke the rules already and used last weeks instead because i stink at remembering movies 🙂

  25. I got tagged in one of those silly chain blog things today and tagged your blog as one of the next 5. It’s here: http://bethaworkinprogress.blogspot.com/2010/05/five-times-fun.html if you would like to check it out.

  26. LOL to “laurel leaves”. 🙂

  27. I totally grew up on Annie… we had the record, and I’d listen to it allll the time. If I ever want to jokingly annoy my mom I start singing any Annie song and she covers her ears “NOOO! you’re cruel!” haha

Anchorman is one stupid movie that i LOVE. soo ridiculous.

Notebook is one of my all time favorites. as are thrillers. any suspenseful movie that twists the end, I adore.

  28. You know what I love about this post? It reminds me of all the movies I love and need to re-watch or all the ones I have never seen but want to see. Regarding Precious, it’s really well done. I read the book, and it was DEPRESSING. The movie is as well, but quite honestly- to be true to the book- it would have to be X-rated. If you can stomach it, I highly recommend the movie and the book to anyone. Disturbing yet inspiring.
