i feel like a new parent.

I think I sort of know what it feels like
to be a new parent now….

Exhausted.

Traveling always makes me tired.  We (and by “we”, I mean Craig) drove for ten hours on Friday, then drove all day on Saturday: to the off-roading site and then for hours of off-roading, and then a ten hour drive back home.  We got home at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon.  All I feel like doing is sleeping.

Here’s a run-down of the weekend
 with LOTS of photos….

First we stopped at Craig’s parents house to borrow a gun for skeet shooting and to drop off Marley.  Craig’s parents were kind enough to doggie-sit for us.  I guess it’s the closest they’re going to get to grandkids for a little while :).
Then we made a little pit stop
to buy some essentials:
*motion sickness pills (for me)
*5hr. energy for Craig
*stylish $5 sunglasses
First stop of the trip lunch in Roseburg.
McMenamin’s always has the best lighting.
Another pit stop for blizzards.
Welcome to California!
A couple of photos of pretty vineyards
and a quick stop at a viewpoint.
The next morning we met up with all the other G-Wagen guys and had breakfast at the cutest little place in Hopland called Bluebird Cafe.  If you’re ever there you must eat there.  The food was delicious and gigantic!
After breakfast we hit the trail
for hours of off-roading.
\
A bit of pretty scenery.
We tried to go through the drive-thru redwood tree.
It was closed :(.
We still love redwood trees.
And every time we passed them we sang:
“From the redwood forest….
to the Gulf Stream waters….
This land was made for you and me.”
It was silly, but entertaining.
We never got to go to In-N-Out :(.
There was a snow warning…. 9-15″
So we had to drive a different way.

We also didn’t get to skeet shoot.
It wasn’t allowed where we went.
I was actually kind of bummed about that.

All in all the trip was fun.
But it was a LOT of driving and
we were glad to get home.
We love Oregon.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

My husband, 2yr old daughter and myself are headed down just south of Tuscon, Arizona next week for the Overland Journal Expo … if you haven’t heard of this yet and need a cool gift for him … check out their blog http://www.overlandjournal.com/blog/ and buy him the Magazine Subscription. It is the only thing my husband waits at the front door for from the mailman…but seeing as your guy is into 4x4ing…he’ll probably love the idea of Overlanding … and he has just the vehicle to trick out to do it! Oh the things we do for the men we love! Check out our blog in a few weeks for pics and posts from Arizona! http://www.eppersonfam.blogspot.com
