no camera = a sad weekend post.

If you don’t follow me on Twitter then you probably didn’t know, but my iPhone screen shattered.  It was a sad day.  I may or may not have cried a little.

Because of this little mishap (it fell out of my pocket and ever so gently onto my kitchen floor) I have been camera-less and thus my weekend post will be boring and photo-less.  Don’t worry….a new screen is on it’s way in the mail and it will be fixed via Craig and a YouTube video.  Wish my phone luck….hopefully it’ll still be functioning once everything is complete!

Here’s a list of what I did this weekend:

  • Watched “Precious“.  Seriously intense but such incredible acting.
  • Made my mom eat spicy tuna sushi for the first time.  She was skeptical, but ended up liking it :).
  • Got some new workout clothes.
  • Watched the rest of “Big Love” Season 3.  I’m kind of addicted.  Season 4….please come out on DVD soon!
  • Hung out with my friend Jamie and had an in-home Zumba class at my house.  She just got her certification to be an instructor and I was excited to get to be a test dummy for some of her fun new routines.
  • Saw “Date Night” on a double date with our friends John and Dana.  Steve Carrell and Tina Fey were so great!  Probably a little funnier if you’ve been married for awhile.

I promise to take tons of photos next weekend to make up for this one!

Lovely Monday to you!

  1. I am glad that you had a fun-filled weekend, and I am even more happy to have shared some of that time with you.Thanks.You forgot to mention the eel that I tried, which was way out of my comfort zone, :)I hope that you get your new screen in the mail soon, and that Craig has great success in fixing it. 🙂

  2. Sorry to hear about your phone. But if its of any comfort to you, I have the most ancient phone in the world. And its on the verge of dying. The batter doesn’t work and chips of it break and fall off on an occassional basis.

Moreover, I have no money to buy a new phone.

  3. Hope you had a lovely monday too!

Sad to hear about your Iphone. Once by mistake I threw my ipod touch half away across the train. There was a dead silence as everyone watched it hit the floor.

It was so scary. But then my best friend just started laughing. 🙂

  4. big love is the best! season 4 is creepy, but I loved it. Wait till you see Nicki bust out of her shell!!

  5. Love this post. Sorry about your phone, that’s horrible. I just realised I didn’t take any photo’s either, and we did quite a bit. 🙁

  6. Your poor iPhone 🙁 Good luck getting better, phone!

  8. Boo for broken iPhones.
My aunt just got her Zumba certification and I’m hoping to be her test dummy!

  9. Oh my gosh that is horrible about your phone! That is why I can’t own a phone like that – I’m far too clumsy.

  10. awww! sounds like a fun weekend! i am glad you liked date night. i loved it. sean didn’t love it as much for some reason. but then again he doesn’t like will ferrel movies either. i don’t get it. so he went to bed at like 8:30 last night and i watched Talledega Nights on TV. and of course i was laughing like crazy and could not understand why he doesn’t like it. “awww come on grandma, not my prison shank!” hahaha.

anyway, so sorry about your phone. i would die if mine broke. it took me freakin 8 hours to unlock the thing, so if i had to get a new one and unlock it? i don’t know what i would do. that is awesome that craig is gonna fix it for you! i didn’t know you could replace the sreens, so that is good to hear! i hope it gets all fixed soon! glad you had a good weekend! hope today is a great day! love ya girl!

  11. Ohhh…that is just terrible! Thank goodness it should be repaired soon…go Craig go! 🙂

  12. My mom would never even touch sushi. You have a daring mother! Hahah. So awesome!

that happened to josh a couple of months ago.
🙁 glad you’re getting it fixed tho!

    your weekend sounded really fun.
i want to see “precious,” but i’m a little scared to watch it.

  15. oh no. my life wouldn’t be complete without a camera 🙁

chris and i watched precious a few weeks ago, and i was surprised at all the cussing, and how mean monique’s character was, but i thought it was a good movie. sad, though.

  16. I haven’t started watching season 3 of Big Love yet, thank you for reminding me! 🙂

  17. I’ve always wanted to try watching Big Love! One if my friends raved about it. Tell Jamie she should come teach at Bally’s in Wilsonville:) That’s one class they don’t have and I wish they did! Sounds like a fun weekend! I’ve been wanting to watch Precious but based off the cover Race says he won’t watch it with me humph!

  18. joel and i saw date night last week.. it was hilarious!! way better than i was expecting. sorry about your iphone 🙁

  19. Big Love is great, I can’t get enough of that show either.

sorry about your phone 🙁 But glad you can get it fixed!

  20. Oh no! I’m so sorry about your phone. Something similar happened to my last iPhone.

It sounds like you had a beautiful weekend regardless though. I recently watched Precious too and I thought it so worthy of all the recognition it received.

  21. i really wanna see date night and yea i totally would have cried if my iphone shattered i think it may be my whole life ha! x

  22. There’s no shame in crying over lost iPhone function. None at all.

And I thought Precious was such an incredible movie, but really sad at the same time. I want to go see date night now!

  23. Yeah read about it. So sorry girl. 🙁
This kinda creeps me out. I want an iphone but am scared to get one…what if this happens to me (which is more than likely!)? oh no!!! 🙁
and girl, there’s really nothing wrong crying over a broken iphone. I wouldn’t have done the same. 😉

    xoxo

  24. So sorry to hear about your phone. I just had to get a new one too. It really stinks. But glad your weekend turned around. SOunds like it was a really good one. I’m having a DIFFERENT kind of give away this week. you’ll have to pop over and take a look. 🙂 http://lettersfromcoco.blogspot.com/2010/05/check-this-outits-getting-really-close.html

  25. That’s so awful! That’s nice that you have a handy hubby who can hopefully fix it though instead of Apple charging a ton. I want to see Date Night so bad! I hadn’t heard anyone who has seen it, so I’m glad you wrote about it.

  26. Bummer! I can’t believe that hasn’t happened to me yet. You can order a new screen?

  27. Poor iPhone! I have so many pals that have broken screens. Fingers crossed the at-home fix goes well.

  28. aw I’m so sorry about your screen! I’d cry for sure. Hopefully Craig can fix it.

  29. oh no!! That happened to my iPhone a few months ago too and it was destroyed. I was so upset… and it wasn’t under a warranty or anything so I just foot the bill for a new one. Now I have an ugly heavy duty case to protect this new sucker 😉

I haven’t seen Precious yet, but it’s on my must-see list!

  30. there is nothing sad about this weekend post. it’s the first post of yours i’ve read and i liked it!

i saw date night a couple of weeks ago and thought it was hilarious. the chemistry between steve carell and tina fey was great!

  31. i will pray for your phone.

psst. i’m not in the loop, what’s zumba?

  32. Oh my, I just did the same thing to my I-phone….wept like a small child too when it happened. my husband is in the midst of replacing the screen and I am so scared that it won’t work….must keep my faith in him though huh….good luck with yours!

  33. Big Love is completely addicting in a sadistic sort of way. Half the time it leaves me with a sick feeling in my stomach but I can’t stop watching!

  34. Aw you poor thing! It’s such a bummer for something like that to happen. But glad the rest of your weekend went well!

I’ve never gotten into Big Love, I might have to check it out. and Precious/Date Night movies…! Thanks for the recommends!

    Have a wonderful week, hon!

  35. Big Love is next on our list to start watching! I’ve heard only good things 🙂

  39. Oh no, Lauren, I’m so sorry to hear about your phone. That’s been my worry ever since I got my iPhone earlier this year. Hope the new screen is delivered soon!
