things i love about my husband.

Lately I’ve been getting my booty into gear via a workout routine (I don’t want to look like the Good Year blimp when I meet my lovely bloggy friends this summer).  It’s been great and I’m feeling awesome.   BUT….the added busy-ness in my evenings mean that I  haven’t had much time for blogging – sorry for the lack of commenting and interesting posts :(.  I think next week should be much better.  I love you guys – thanks for sticking it out and still reading along!  Oh…and side note….I’ve gotten back on track with my eating and it’s been so great.  I’m about halfway through this book called “Naturally Thin” by Bethenny Frankel and it’s kind of incredible.  It’s not a diet, just a lifestyle and it’s exactly what I needed.  The way she explains eating is so relatable and she makes it seem so do-able and it really is.  You should seriously check it out if a healthier lifestyle is on your agenda.  One of the best “diet” books I’ve read.

Now…on to other things…..

Today I am feeling particularly smitten with my hubby so I thought I’d make a little list of little things that I love about him.  Thanks for indulging my sapiness :).

10 (out of the million)

Things I love About My Husband:

*The way he lays in the grass with me in our front yard when we get home from work in the summer so we can talk about our day.

*How he looks out the window every morning during the winter to check if it snowed the night before.  Even though it rarely (i.e. practically NEVER) snows here.  I still think it’s cute.

*That he can magically conjure up a meal when it doesn’t seem like we have anything to eat.

*How he gets so passionate and riled up about sports….almost any sport…..even though I kind of sometimes hate this too.

*The fact that he wrote a song for our first married Valentine’s Day.  I’m trying to figure out how to upload it somewhere to let you guys listen, but I’ve been unsuccessful – it was super cute.  It was to the tune of “Anyone Else But You” from Juno, but he changed the words.

*When he snuggles up on the couch with Marley all loving like.

*When he makes me cool things out of nothing.  I could probably ask him to whittle our next house out of a pine tree and he’d figure out a way to do it….he’s just that cool.

*The way he taught me not to sweat the small stuff…like having a few dishes in the sink.  I’m a lot less stressed out now, so thanks for that love.

*The fact that he works his tail off at a labor intensive job, banging his head and hands on stuff and getting bumps, cuts and bruises….just so he can take care of our little family.

*How he makes me get my lazy behind out of bed for church even though I beg him to skip EVERY single Sunday.  Sometimes I’m just too persuasive, but I’m always glad when he drags me there…. after the fact that is.

*That he buys me flowers….but only when I least expect it….almost never on the days that he “should” buy flowers.  I kinda get annoyed about this sometimes, but he is right….it’s more meaningful that way.

*He always puts toothpaste on my toothbrush and brings it to me when he wants me to come to bed.  The cutest not-so-subtle hint ever.

OK….maybe that was 12 things.  That’s OK.  It’s my blog, so I can make the rules….and besides……who ever heard of anyone complaining about getting too many compliments?  I know this is sappy, but better a sappy wife than a pissy wife, right?

Love you Craig!

Hope you all have a lovely Thursday.  Check back for “Fill in the Blanks” tomorrow!
