fill in the blank friday.

Today’s guest Fill in the Blank-er is Sarah from 20 Something Cupcakes.  Thank you Sarah for enabling my laziness on this particular Friday when coming up with creative blanks is the very last thing I feel like doing.

If any other readers out there are enablers I’d love to have you be a guest blanker on some Friday in the future.  Just shoot me an e-mail!  If you want to play along, just fill in the blanks on your own blog (or in the comments) and then post your link below so we can all read your responses.

Now….on with the blanks and a theme I am particularly fond of:  FOOD!  And…just because Sarah is awesome and gave me so many great questions you get 10 questions today instead of the usual random 7!

1.  If I could choose my last meal it would be       margherita pizza, ginger ale and chocolate banana bread pudding for dessert – nothing like carb-y comfort food   .

2.  My favorite person to share a meal with is      Craig and Andy & Elisha    because,     Craig and I love good food, and Andy and Elisha are the only of our group of friends who I feel really share the same deep affection for it.  Also I like eating with them because they’re all really great cooks 🙂   .

3.  The best meal I’ve ever had was       a bowl of cereal with ice cold (real!) milk after spending three weeks in Kenya with nasty long-life milk.  I craved nothing else and it was the very first thing I ate.  Not the most exciting, but it definitely tasted incredible to me   .

4.  The one food that makes me feel instantly better when I’m having a bad day is       a donut.  This goes back to my childhood I think.  When my little brother was born I was super upset and my aunt took me to the store and bought me a package of those mini chocolate donuts and after that all was well  .

5.  My absolute specialty in the kitchen is     I don’t know if I really have one.  I like trying new things, but I guess I’d say variations of pasta.  I actually make pretty good bruschetta too    .

6.  The city that has the best food is      Portland because I’m biased, but really because it’s just that amazing     and my favorite restaurant there is       Pok Pok.  I’ve ranted about it before (on multiple occasions).  If you ever come here you MUST go there!

7.  My favorite healthy snack is      apples with peanut butter…and Pirate Booty – that stuff is delicious      .

8.  In my opinion the nationality which has the best food is      Asian – Thai food, Chinese food, Japanese….pad thai, pad kee mow, sweet and sour pork, sushi….YUM!      .

9.  If I could learn to cook anything in the world (and be really good at it!) I’d choose      sushi.  It’s definitely one of my favorite foods and I’d love to learn how to make my own – I’ve even got sushi rolling mats and everything…but I’m kind of intimidated by it      .

10.  The most outrageous dessert I’ve ever had was      I don’t think this counts as dessert, but in 8th grade my boyfriend gave me a massive box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day.  My best friend and I sat in my room and ate the ENTIRE box in one sitting.  There were like 40 chocolates in there!  We each ate half of each chocolate to taste them and then swapped.  I was sooooo sick       .

Can’t wait to read all of your food stories!

Happy weekend!
