junk heaven and my friend claire.

I was super excited about what Sunday of my California trip was going to entail for two very important reasons.

Reason #1:  I was going to get to FINALLY go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market that I’d heard so much about!

Reason #2:  More importantly Sunday was the day I got to meet up with my friend Claire!!!  She was in my wedding, I was in hers and now that she moved to L.A. I’ve been missing her terribly!

But let’s start at the beginning….

I headed down with Brandi.
We got lost along the way.
Freaking California and it’s ridiculous number of freeways!
We ended up having to go through a toll road.
It was a disaster.

We finally made it to breakfast where we met up with Brandi’s friend Christopher at the cutest little breakfast place in Fullerton called The Rialto Cafe.  If you are anywhere near Fullerton, you should definitely check it out.  SO adorable and the food was delicious.  Oh…and they had an entire wall of mirrors that I was in love with.

After finishing my delicious breakfast pannini we headed to Pasadena for the flea market.  My friend Claire met us there and we ended up splitting up from Brandi and Christopher – far too many pretty things to see to stick together :).

Claire got the score of the day:
a vintage Dooney & Burke handbag
for $10!!!  WHAT???
Even cuter in real life.
I got some metal letters to spell EAT in my kitchen.
I couldn’t fit much else in my packed carry-on :(.

Other pretty things….
After the flea market I got to see Claire’s cute apartment and we drank wine and ate her delicious homemade hummus and chips while chatting away.  I seriously miss her like crazy. Later on when it was time to take me back to Kassi’s house Claire and her awesome hubby Matt made some pit stops to show me the sites.

I finally got my In-N-Out burger:  animal style!
Went to H&M for the first time!!!
I only got a t-shirt and some sunglasses,
but it was a small H&M…still good though :).
We also made a little pit stop in Hollywood.
So touristy, but awesome.
life-like, right?
When Matt gets his big break acting they’re
going to put his star right next to Bruce Willis’.
I love my friends!
Thanks Matt & Claire for a fun time!

Hope you all have a great day today!
See you tomorrow!
