playing dress up.

Yesterday my friend Jamie and I
took a little trip down to Corvallis.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Corvallis (and I’m sure that would pretty much be most of you), it is a little town about an hour and a half south of Portland and it’s where we both went to college – Oregon State University.

Jamie used to work at a resale shop there called Second Glance.  Well….Second Glance has a lovely blog and I kind of love it a lot.  SO….we decided to go down to visit and hang out with The Glancing Girl and blog writer herself – Jen!

We did a bit of shopping.
Played stylist with the clothes in the shop.
These looked cuter in real life –
way better than an iPhone photo.

Someone liked the seer sucker pants
I paired with this ensemble that they
we missing before I could snap a photo!
We went to lunch at Magenta.
It was Asian fusion deliciousness and it had a great dim sum menu.
How did I never eat here when I lived in Corvallis?
Oh yeah…we were married and broke by the time it came to town 🙁

We ended the day with a bit of fro-yo.
The jury’s still out on whether or not we like the wood spoons.

A fun day of fashion, friends, food, fro-yo….
OK…that’s all the alliteration I’ve got.

  21. I LOVE the second outfit!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Happy Birthday my sweet friend! XO

  22. I know Corvallis very well, grew up super nearby 🙂 Although. ::sigh:: OSU?? I’ll put aside my deep UO loyalties, I guess 😉

  23. I absolutely LOVE Second Glance! I go there every chance I get, which sadly isn’t often since I no longer live in Corvallis. Great styling jobs!

  24. Cute outfits! That fro-yo looks so good. I don’t really like wooden spoons either! When I went to Sprinkles (OHHHH MAN, SOOOO GOOD!) they had wooden forks and knives. I just don’t like the feeling you get when you eat with them! Like a popsicle stick. It gives me shivers! Haha.

  25. Great styling! I’ll be visiting Corvallis (and Oregon!) for the first time this fall when my husband’s up there for a med school rotation. So excited to check it out…this store is now on my list of must-do’s.
