weekending.

The highlights of my weekend were:
{CPR and wine tasting.}

You probably think I’m joking about the CPR, but I’m totally serious.  The lady who taught the CPR class was freaking hillarious, AND at the end she taught us dog CPR!  I was seriously so excited.  Everyone thought I was a little crazy for being willing to give Marley CPR.  I said it would be the same as any of them giving CPR to one of their children.  I even came home and showed Craig how to do it, although Marley didn’t like being a participant in my demonstration.  Well Miss fancy pants dog….you’re annoyed about it now, but just wait ’til you stop breathing and you need CPR…then we’ll see who’s annoyed!

Here’s the doggy dummy.
So odd, yet awesome.

After that I went wine tasting with my friends Jamie and Ashley for a birthday combo celebration of mine and Jamie’s August birthdays.  It was so fun!  The vineyard was beautiful!

We had to ask lots of questions since none of us had ever been wine tasting (beyond the samples you can try at the grocery store).  We tried to act classy though.  I think we fooled some people :).

A baguette and gouda were a must.

James and her stunna shades.

Smashley and her dessert wine.

Here’s my classy wine face.

I think I should probably just stick with
my normal face though.

Sour grapes.

I heart my friends.

Afterward they took me shopping and I got some really cute things.  I’ll have to take photos soon.  I actually got a Lookbook account, but I’ve yet to post anything.  I need to get on that! Maybe after we get back from our vacation….  Anyway, I love my friends and they completely spoiled me!

The rest of the weekend was spent lounging and learning to drive the G-Wagen.  It’s a stick shift.  Don’t even begin to ask how that went.  There were maybe a couple of tears involved… just maybe.  Craig was super patient though and I think I made progress.

How was your weekend?
What did you do?

I am envious of your wine tasting it looks like lots of fun with lots of tasty wine =)

  3. That is an interesting weekend! I took a CPR class to renew my license a couple years ago and we sure didn’t have a dummy dog to practice on. That would’ve been cool!

  18. i took the safe sitter course and felt foolish enough administering cpr on human dummies, but i couldn’t imagine if they’d pulled out a dog to learn on! hilarious!

my stick shift course: we bought it one evening, and the next day i had to drive it to school and work. it was tricky, and i may have used some pretty foul language.

  21. You are so beautiful Lauren!! And what sweet friends!!! I remember when I learned how to drive a stick in high school … tears, tears and more tears. Finally, my sweet friend taught me!! Sending you a hug and can’t wait to see you!! WAHOO!

  22. I went to a music festival, smoked weed, drank some Cola and listened to Parov Stelar and Gorillaz 🙂 Quite nice, I’d say

  23. So funny about that doggy CPR!

You and your friends are just so sweet. I’m glad you had a good time at the wine tasting! (I just turned 21 over the summer, so I tried a glass at my sister’s house… I just can’t do it. Tastes like Acetone and very dead fruit. Maybe zombie fruit. Maybe I’m just lacking in the required sophistication level)
    🙂

  24. I would totally do CPR on a dog. Dogs are like family members, come on people. Maybe you should do a post on how to do CPR on a dog. Then all of us could know! P.S. Your fine face is totally sophisticated.

  25. CPR for a dog sounds AWESOME! I would totally do that on my dog if I had to. I love her!

I want to go wine tasting sometime, looks like you had fun!

  26. I love that winery! 🙂
