my favorite thing about today #49.

My favorite thing
about today (or actually Saturday since Blogger wouldn’t let me upload photos then)
was….

Having girl’s night with my friend Liz!
(P.S. She has a super fun food blog you should check out!)
(This is us at my wedding…obviously….)
We hadn’t hung out in a while, so I was super excited to see her.  She whipped us up some yummy curry for dinner which we had along with sparkling wine in a can – so classy, right?
We  also watched “The Devil Wears Prada” and ate a super yummy “everything” cake that Liz made.  It was so good and filled with white chocolate chips, caramel, peanut butter, chocolate and a whole lot of other delicious things.  So good (both the movie AND the cake)!

The rest of my weekend was pretty busy.  Took Craig to the airport at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday so he could fly to San Francisco where he bought a G-Wagen….this one actually….and then drve home the same day.  Crazy husband.

Craig sold his old G-Wagen to get this one.  This one is newer and shinier which I like, but the main reason we got it was because it’s about 6.022 x 10 ^ 23 times quieter!  The old G wasn’t so great for road trips because we couldn’t hear the radio over its loudness….much less each other talking.  I’m super excited to be able to go off-roading now and still be able to hear Craig talk :).
Other weekend events
(aside from the girl’s night)
included….
*Shopping with my friend Jamie for last minute items for a photo shoot I’m styling for she and her husband.  I can’t wait to show you guys photos!
*Helping a co-workers wife style an outfit for a wedding they’re going to.
*Thrifting!  Found some great shoes and bags!
* Cutting my friend Matt’s (Jamie’s husband’s) hair.
*Going to see “The Town” – incredible acting!  Blake Lively actually surprised me.
And that was my weekend.  Since blogger wasn’t letting me upload photos this weekend I didn’t get to finish my road trip posts, so it’ll be a little while longer….they’re coming…. eventually.
OK.
Now I’m done for real.
Apparently I’m super wordy today.

  1. i laughed out loud at the can!! YOu looked lovely on your wedding day 🙂

  2. The wedding-photo is awesome 🙂

  3. Lauren, yay!
Firstly, I LOVE this series. So quick and happy and fun and personal.
Secondly, what a PERFECT weekend. I’m glad you have things to be glad of, and you share them with us 🙂

  4. The G-Wagen is quite impressive! Even more so is the gorgeous German Shepherd sitting protectively beside it. As the owner of a GSD myself, I’m a bit biased towards them. 🙂

Hooray for successful thrifting, especially of bags & shoes. Really, you can never have enough of either!

  5. I LOVE the Sofia sparkling wine! It’s SO GOOD!

  6. I’ve heard such good things about the Sofia cans!! They don’t have them in my area so I’ve looked into ordering them online…. does that make me a lush?

  7. Canned sparkling wine is surprisingly tasty!!

  8. Awww you have a German Shepherd too!!!! 🙂 We have a big baby, and my parents have two! 🙂 http://www.flickr.com/photos/krystle_rae/sets/72157603057974822/

  10. I love girls nights with good friends. 🙂 And I love how Marley is sitting in front of your new G wagon (G wagon – I feel like I’m saying it wrong!). We have a German Sheppard too – Penny Lane.

  11. I really like those G wagon cars. I know what you mean about the loud cars, my AC is broken so I have to have the windows down so it’s loud in my car all the time. Boo. Love that picture from your wedding, so funny.

  12. First of all, love the wedding photo!

I want to try sparkling wine out of a can.

    The Town was awesome.

The Devil Wears Prada is one of my favorite movies (and my hubby’s too )
