what i did on my summer vacation: part 2.

We left from Texas and headed toward New Mexico!
This is me blissfully happy because we finally found some decent coffee.  It was no Stumptown but they grind their own beans and it wasn’t Starbucks, so it was exciting.
Catching some zzzzzzz’s…….
Craig’s a way cuter sleeper than me.

Our first stop in New Mexico was at
the Route 66 Auto Museum.
Super touristy.  Check.

It was a pretty hot day so we stopped by
The Blue Hole” for a quick dip.

After that we stopped in Albuquerque to eat
and walked through this beautiful old church.
New Mexico was beautiful.  I thought it was going to be one great big spoiler for the Grand Canyon with all the little mini canyons and rocky landscape like this.  But I was wrong…..
More on the Grand Canyon tomorrow!

  2. Looks liek so much fun! I want to go swimming in this Blue Hole. I just realized that one of the roads I take everyday is actually part of old Route 66. I have the itch to just keep driving on it…maybe one day.
