thanksgiving…no wait…christmas decor.

Everyone loves a bit of
holiday decor, right?

Thanksgiving was good, but now it’s over and I spent part of my weekend decorating for Christmas!

Before I show you my Christmas decor, I’ll show you my Thanksgiving decor – I was in charge of decor as well as bringing bread pudding and mashed potatoes.  The bread pudding never made it, because Marley ate all the bread while I was at the gym that morning :(.  I was incredibly sad, since it’s my favorite dessert on Thanksgiving….but at least the decor was cute :).

This was our “thankfulness tree”.

Everyone wrote what they were thankful for and hung it.

“Fall bounty”

Now that Thanksgiving is over though, I broke out the Christmas decor.  I like to decorate like I would any other time of the year, but just use more “holiday colors”.
{branches + moss + split peas}

{I love this little antique box of ornament hangers I found in our house.}
{Stockings – sewn by Craig – he’s got skills.}

{random gold balls from Michael’s + cranberries.}
{Mason jar I wrapped with yarn + Martinelli’s apple juice vase.}
{random tree clippings from my yard.}

{Wreath I finally finished today – started this last Christmas!}

{Subtley Christmas-esque bouquet courtesy of Trader Joe’s.}

 {pine cones + my holiday cottage living – I miss this magazine :(.}

{dining area.}
{finger crochet garland + gold ornaments}
{my little treasure shelf – I told you I was a magpie!}

Hope I was able to provide you
 with a little inspiration this morning!

Hope your day is lovely!

  6. your treasure shelf is pretty, and because it’s arranged neatly, you don’t look like a magpie at all! the only decorating i’ve done so far was my tree, but i’m going to make some scented glittery pinecones to put in a bowl on my coffee table. i also have some deer from the 40’s that grandma gave me that i’ll sit out somewhere.

    i’m glad you shared your decorations, but i want to see more of your house!
