a thoughtful husband.

I am thankful for….

A thoughtful husband.

Sunday he went snowboarding for the first time this season.  He went by himself as he often does, but I always worry about him, because he doesn’t wear a helmet and he goes off jumps and whatnot.  Anyway, right after he left I sent him a text that said not to get killed going off jumps because I’d miss him if he wasn’t around.  A couple hours later I got a text with the photos above (and below).

He bought a helmet.
Just for me.
Well….it’s for him, but really it’s for me :).

Now that’s something that means a whole lot more than flowers….
especially coming from Craig.

I love my husband and he is what I am most thankful for.

What are you most thankful for?

  11. YAY! Marc and I bought helmets three years ago when one of our friends had a serious fall. It scared the *&^% out of us. SO now, our noggins are safe. Hugs my sweet friend!!!!xo

  12. I love when Ian actually listens to my concerns and does something about them rather than blow them off like he’s some “tough guy”. This year, I’ll be thankful if he comes home from Haiti, my grandparents coming to town (if their plane can land), and I am already soooo thankful for our church. Our life there is seriously SO stressful and busy, but it is SO worth it because that is our family.

  13. Aren’t they amazing when they do things like that? Great post.

  14. That is so sweet of Craig to get a helmet! How thoughtful of him. I’m sure knowing that he was protected put you at ease for the evening, and will continue to for the duration of the skiing season. How great of him to consider your concerns.

I’m thankful for friends to Thanksgiving spend with, yummy food, a loving family, sunshine, and a relationship with God, among many other things. So much to be thankful for, no?

  15. Your husband is very sweet and thoughtful. That’s two more things where our husbands are alike – thoughtful and have a love for snowboarding (that’s on top of them being fashionistos).

  16. my hubby bought a helmet at the end of last season that he can use for snowboarding and longboarding. I’m so glad that he got it, it makes me worry a lot less. He’s going for the first time this season on Friday. I hope his helmet goes too

  17. oh my goodness gracious, that is too sweet. i love thoughtful husbands. i have one myself! 🙂

  18. i live in a resort town. whistler. and helmets are the most important thing. ive known too many friends including myself who have broken our backs literally and could have had much worse injuries if we werent wearing our helmets! sooo yayyyy for helmets!
