a lovely weekend.

This weekend I….

Babysat on Friday night.
Every time I babysit these kids it makes me want my own.  They are so precious.
The little girl Amelia and I made these magazine Christmas trees.
So fun and she was a pro!

Saturday we had lunch with Craig’s grandma.
Had a balanced meal of ChaChaCha tacos and Dairy Queen Blizzards for dinner
and watched 6 episodes of Mad Men in one sitting.
I kind of want to be Betty Draper now
(minus the douchey husband. OK. Mostly for the clothes).

Sunday Craig and I had a coffee date at Barista (my new favorite mocha).

Picked up some green coffee beans (Craig’s been roasting his own these days).

Finally bought a pair of Hunters!
(I’d been wanting them for at least 2 years!)
Becca convinced me, after she told me you can buy the kids sizes (up to size 7) for $50 less than the adult version.  I was sold.   I planned on getting black, but ended up liking navy more after trying them on.

I was real excited about them.
Then I went to the gym and Craig made us steak salad for dinner and I read magazines and he watched sports.  Before bed we played this old school Aladdin game.  Now I know why I don’t play video games.  I become a really angry person and obscenities sometimes ensue.  I think I may call it an early retirement from this game :).

THE END!

i’m right there with you when it comes to video games. i try to play with my husband, but he says i’m no fun because i get all “upset” and make mean faces….haha!

  3. I have that Aladdin Game!! LOVEIT! Ahh your boots are darling. Happy you have a pair!!!

  4. fab weekend! And I have navy Hunters too 🙂 Hubbie bought me them about 3 years ago and they are still going strong, hope you find lots of puddles to splash in 🙂

  5. Sounds like sooooo much fun! And I am obsessed with the Aladdin game! So classic. And kinda hard…. I never can get past the level where the cave is on fire and has all of the lava rivers lol!

  6. lol. You are so cute!!!
I love your boots!!! Yay for cheaper prices!!!!! and I know what you mean about the video games!!! I get really competitive and frustrated when I don’t win, so, no thank you!!! I’ll just watch the others play!!! 🙂
    Have a happy day friend!!!
    xoxo

  7. you’re the best weekend blogger. cute photos.

  8. I am the SAME way with video games. Hubby can’t believe I get the way I do when I’m playing them. The worst is driving games, all my road rage comes out.

And I am so happy you two were playing Aladdin. We have that one too!

  9. I am not allowed to play video games anymore. One year, there were four of us playing some Star Wars game on Xbox. They weren’t telling me how to do a certain move and they all ended up shooting me. I got so upset they were ganging up on me that I threw my controller and kicked the console. I’m a bad sport.

    btw – love the Wellies!

  10. Sounds like a perfect weekend!! Love the hat.
    xoxo

  11. Love the boots girl. Yay for having little feet!!! And I have heard nothing but good things about Barista. I must check it out, pronto!

Oh, and I’m attempting to start a new series on my blog so come by and check it out! I’d love to feature you if you’re interested : )

  12. I love you, glad you had such a good weekend 🙂

  13. I am so jealous of you Hunter’s boots! I told myself now that I’m living in the Northwest I totally have an excuse to buy them 🙂

  14. Oh geeze…that Aladdin game and I…we have a rocky history!

  15. I’m so so glad you got them for yourself! Happy early Christmas! Have you finished any of your craft pressies yet? Mine are still sitting for lack of time/motivation (mostly the latter). Ugh! I’m always down for a good mocha so I must try out Barista soon!

  16. I love rain boots, they are so awesome. I’m actually wearing a pair right now! Video games are kind of my nemesis, except for wii games that are fun, but I hate them, so read while my husband played with his friend this weekend.

  17. Oooohhh I asked for a pair of green Hunter boots for Christmas but you maaay have just swayed me toward the navy blue! Cute! 🙂

  18. Ha I loved every bit about this post! And, I got your email and I am so so excited for all the goodness that the future will bring. I have one more final left and I will send you a long email in return, Some brainstorming is in the future. Love the boots too. HUGS!!!! xo

  19. I have been lusting over green Hunter boots for a few years now too, I wish I could fit into a kids size!
