love and llamas.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of meeting Parker Fitzgerald.  Parker is not only a really cool guy, but also an incredibly talented photographer here in Portland.  After meeting him I ventured over to his website to check out his work and have since fallen head-over-heels for his fantastic photography.  What has me even more impressed is the fact that he works almost exclusively with film.  The contrast and textures he achieves with his photos is incredible and give his work so much depth.  Everything from color to composition to his choices of subject matter are pure genius, but even beyond that, there is something about Parker’s photography that evokes an emotional response and makes you feel very connected to his art.  I basically want prints of every one of his photos to hang up around my home.

Here are some photos from a recent shoot he did.  I love everything about this shoot and the styling is phenomenal, although I’m not quite sure who to credit for that.  Either way, it’s fantastic.  Oh….and the llamas make me terribly happy.  What’s love without llamas?

Make sure you check out more of Parker’s work on his Portfolio (here) and over at his Flickr stream (here).  You can also follow him on Twitter (@parkerfitzhenry).  BUT….should you venture over to check out the rest of his work, be forewarned that you are totally going to get sucked into its awesomeness.  Just saying.

I especially love the shot where they’re both reading–even though they’re focused on separate things, he managed to capture a connection.
