fill in the blank friday.

Happy Friday!

I’m really loving the random blanks lately….or maybe I’ve just run out of themes.  If you can think of any good ones, please let me know!  If you want to play along this week, just fill in the blanks over at your blog and then link up using the link at the end of this post.  Thanks for joining in!

1.   Something that makes me a great friend is,       that I am an investor. When I have a friendship I invest time into it. I’ll call, text, plan coffee dates… I enjoy my friends and make time for them whenever I can  .

2.  I am    a recovering Type A, a lover of fashion, easily distractable, a people watcher, a decent (but not great) cook, a reformed coffee hater, a maximalist    .

3.  I am not     fond of squirrels, patient in traffic, a “shorts person”, good at math or science, a fan of meatloaf, a minimalist    .

4.  If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be     accomodating (always trying to make sure everyone is happy/comfortable), an extroverted introvert, and an observer   .

5.  Something I’m really cheap about is     bags. I know that people always talk about bags being “investment pieces”, but seriously…if you looked at my bag right now, you’d know why I don’t invest. My bag is stuffed full of crap I don’t need and looking like it’s going to burst at the seams or lose a strap at any moment. Plus, I’m always setting it in sticky, gross things. So, I just stick with Target for my purse needs  .

6.  Something I’m willing to splurge on is      any item of clothing that I really love – generally that ends up being dresses or cardigans because I wear them the most   .

7.  I would trade       half the clothes in my closet (the winter ones!)       for       summer weather and a tan   in a heartbeat.

What are your weekend plans?

  1. It makes me so sad that you don’t like squirrels, but now that I think about it, one of my best friends hates them too… I am obsessed with their cute furry tails and tiny ears but I could do without the rabies and long claws!

p.s. Your friends are lucky to have such a dedicated friend in you =)

    Happy Friday!

  2. I’m not patient in traffic either. I actually give my passengers road rage. It’s awful.

  3. I’m not really a bag person, either. My current purse is a Target buy, and it’s falling to pieces! I’m glad I’m not alone in this!!!

  4. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has “cheap” bags. I just don’t get it!

  5. Lauren:

Thanks once again for this fun post! It is always so much fun to see how other bloggers answer!

    Have a great weekend!

    Cherie

  6. I am sorry the weather there is dreary!! I would gladly take you to the beach to get a tan….except the sun is nowhere to be found. Sorry doll!! I am sure the weather will turn around soon. It’s bound to right? RIGHT?!? 😉
    xoxo

  7. Ditto to everything in your “I am not” category.

  8. Love these fill in the blanks. You are truly a great friend … I wish we lived closer!! 🙂 AND, I agree with you on bags. I love that you are now a coffee drinker haha wahoooooooo!

  9. My purse sounds like your purse, except I am very careful about where I set it. My purse is practically a diaper bag minus the baby.

  10. Ah! The cheap bags! I am exactly the same. I have crammed so much stuff into my fabric bag, and am so happy I can throw it in the washer at the end of the day if it gets particularly nasty. Expensive purses and I would never get along!

PS. I just did my first fill in the blank post. They’re so fun- your blog is wonderful!

  11. So many things to comment on. First off, squirrels are not on my good list! One attacked a lady who works in my office. Secondly, I admit to splurging occasionally on bags. I once spent $20 on a purse ;] The first time I told that I was dead serious and my friends all laughed at me. Apparently, they pay $100+ for theirs. I just don’t get it. And finally, I’m looking forward to summer weather myself! Have a great weekend!

  12. I am also “cheap” about bags! Target prices are more my style haha

  13. i love this! i might have to join!

  14. i love that you let yourself be the “maximist” you are 🙂

  15. I am the opposite of you and most of your commentors regarding the purse thing; they are one thing that I will splurge on! Isn’t it fun that everyone is different? 🙂
As for running out of ideas, I have two suggestions. If you don’t have a copy of Listography, get one! It is such fun to fill out the pages, and many of them would make good fill in the blanks post items also. The other thought I had is to have your readers guest write the questions. You could start the post off with “Todays questions were created for us by Anita at Sew Vintage, So Fun” as an example. The reader gets a little plug on a high traffic blog, and you get break from dreaming these up every week.
    Have a great weekend!
    xoxo, a.

  16. Something that makes me a great friend is… my loyalty and trust. I’ll never tell a secret if you don’t want me to.

    I am… a writer :), someone quirky, creative.

I am not… someone who goes for trends. i like what i like, and i’m not into the new fashion, ie jeggings and tunics or those flowy shirts. i’m a converse and jeans and hoodies kind of girl.

If i had to describe myself if 3 words, i’d use… outspoken, loyal, and intelligent.

Something I’m really cheap about is… my socks. i don’t need cashmere, the cheap stuff from the dollar store is just fine!

Something I’m willing to splurge on is… jeans.

I would trade all my study halls for no chemistry class in a heartbeat 🙂
