1. One of my happiest moments ever was my wedding day. I’ve said it before, but it was seriously like being on love Valium people. Not that I take Valium often, but I did have it once prior to getting my wisdom teeth removed and my wedding day was basically like that. Complete elation without a care in the world .
2. Summer is wedding season and weddings are lovely when it’s a marriage between two people you know and love, but they’re lame when it’s for extended family that you’ve only met like twice ever .
3. This summer the weather has sucked in Portland. It’s barely gotten above 70 most days and it’s been cloudy and rainy half the time. I’m about ready to pack up and move somewhere warm. I’m thinking Austin TX…I’ve heard it’s a lot like Portland, except with warm weather .
4. My summer food of choice has been berries. Any and all berries…blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries…I love them all .
5. My summer uniform has been jeans, tanks and cardigans. It’s been so cold that cardigans are still very much in my wardrobe rotation 🙁 .
6. If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose Santa Cruz, CA. It’s close to our friends Marc & Caroline. The weather is warm, but not too warm. The beach is close by. It’s close to San Fran and other good food. It would be lovely. Now…if only I had the money to buy a summer beach house there! .
7. My summer anthem is “My Girl” by Otis Redding. I love that song in general, but in the summer it just seems to fit the upbeat feeling in my heart. Perfect for a road trip. Other favorites: “Under the Boardwalk” and “Brown Eyed Girl” .

I love the extended family wedding the best – I am all about my family and LOVE seeing them at least twice an year and so, so wish I could see them more.
I love the summer theme again! It just makes me happy 🙂

I just realized you live in Portland too!! Summer has been so boring…I think that in return we should get snow this winter…lots of it! 😀

I’m kind of enjoying the not so hot weather. I get so hot these days with this baby inside me, I’m pretty sure anything above 80 would just be miserable at my house with no a/c. It sounds like it should warm up this weekend, but I guess I will believe it when I see it.

currently weather in Austin is over 100 degrees and has been for weeks. Oh and we haven’t had any rain in weeks either. Right about now, husband and I are dreaming about mountains or Pacific Northwest 🙂
I do think it would be hard to spend all summer in jeans though…
berries really are delicious and they’re like the superwoman of fruit! and i’m with you – cardigans are year rounders 🙂
