Now that I have a giant diaper bag to lug around
a purse just isn’t happening.
I like the idea of using a larger purse as a diaper bag and just consolidating all my baby stuff, but I happen to be a total “over-preparer” and there’s basically no way that would ever happen. Plus, carrying around bottles full of milk in a purse without wipeable lining? Yeah. I’m sure you can probably visualize how that would end up, right?
This is where a cute clutch comes in handy.
I can easily throw my clutch in my diaper bag and go, and then when I’m going somewhere sans baby, I just pull it out of the diaper bag instead of having to dump all the baby items out of my purse. Total time-saver!
I already happen to have a super cute clutch that I love, but it’s a solid grey and I think I need a little pattern in my life to mix-it-up. A girl can love two clutches, right?
I’m a big fan of the pretty Pendleton patterns and simple shapes of the clutches offered by lovely Portland designer Sarah Vale Rapp of Sea Echo. See what I mean?
If we weren’t on a budget right now I’d be all over these.

Ooh, gorgeous clutches.. I was so sad to give up my purse in favour of a changing bag- however my wonderful mum surprised me in the delivery room by presenting me with an amazing Radley one… took my mind of labour for a little while too!
Okay you just gave me a great idea Lauren. I don’t have a diaper bag but I do have a ridiculously large purse and it is ANNOYING when I’m going on a big shopping trip. I’ve actually left the mall early because my shoulder is hurting from carrying such a large purse!
So maybe I’ll do the same thing as you. So smart!
This clutch is on MY wishlist… it’s super cute, a great cause, and the non-profit is from Portland! A win-win-win in my book. 🙂

This is exactly what I do! I have a tiny Pendleton purse that I throw in my diaper bag. I got it at the Lincoln City Pendleton outlet! It was somewhere around $30 with my AAA mall discount 🙂
