If you’re new to it thought, here’s something you must know:
There are certain Instagram photos that are practically obligatory – all the cool kids are doing it.
Here are 7 must-have Instagram shots:
Photo of your breakfast:
Photo of your pet (if you don’t have one, then a photo of someone else’s pet):
Photo of flowers:
Photo of your latte.
Photo of your baby:
*Bonus points if you can get more than one baby into the photo:
Photo of your feet:
That about sums it up.

I just joined Instagram recently but for my travel blog. I only post photos of beaches or anything beach-related. I guess I can still post a photo of my breakfast at the resorts, my feet in the sand, and flowers around the resort. <-- you just gave me some ideas for my instagram.

I’d like to add:
– sunset or clouds. Extra points for making it REALLY arty and attaching a comment about “appreciating life more”
– awkward self-portraits with “serious face” — that inadvertent expression that’s somewhere between I-don’t-want-to-smile-at-the-camera and trying-to-be-thoughtful
:] PS – I definitely have taken all 7 of those photos! I was just commenting the other day about how ALL my photos are of my dog, or of food. Hilarious.
