One of my favorite things
that Fern is doing these days is smiling.
Of course Fern been smiling for a little while now, but only in the past few weeks have these smiles become more frequent and very intentional and it’s these sweet, smiley moments that make all the challenging times oh so worth it.
Something else that I love about these smiles is that I’m learning that Fern has many of them – not just one and all are even cuter and more endearing to me than the last.
She has her sweet smile.
Her coy smile.

Mischievous smile.
Super-excited-about-to-burst-tongue-sticking-out-smile.
Happy morning-time smile.
And…The Smirk.
There’s something about a baby smile that is pure magic. It captures your heart and makes you want to move heaven and earth just to catch another glimpse of it. And even though I am a little bit (OK, totally) biased, I think Fern’s little smiles are pretty adorable.
