digital valentine + music to my ears.

I’m not super into Valentine’s Day…

BUT…all the other bloggers seem to be and apparently I’m a total follower, so I jumped on the bandwagon and made you this little digital Valentine. I actually spent a really long time on this, even though it was just made using Picmonkey (I have no idea how to use Photoshop despite my best efforts. I don’t know how all you design-y bloggers do it. Just opening Photoshop makes me want to break out in hives.), but I wanted to perfectly show you guys how I feel about you :). In the end I went with sweet and simple.

OK. Now that you’ve taken that in and hopefully feel loved…
How will you be spending your Valentine’s Day?
We’re not super into it here, but I will say that Craig did get me a pre-Valentine’s gift (he refuses to give gifts actually on Valentine’s Day because he thinks it’s a stupid, commercial holiday) that was totally amazing.
Behold this vintage stereo console…isn’t it a beauty?
It was a fun and unexpected surprise and so much better than the typical flowers and chocolates (although, don’t get me wrong…I definitely love me some chocolate). We don’t actually own any records and I’m pretty sure the record player needs mending, but we listened to the jazz station on the radio and I loved having the lovely music fill our room.

My husband is definitely a keeper…even when he doesn’t buy me fun gifts :).

Hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day – filled with love…romantic or not it all deserves to be celebrated!

  3. “(he refuses to give gifts actually on Valentine’s Day because he thinks it’s a stupid, commercial holiday)” – love this, my husband proposed on February 13th (which just so happened to be a Friday!) so it wouldn’t be a Valentine’s cliche.

  4. Happy Valentine’s Day! What a sweet present!

  5. DROOL! What a beautiful console. I’d take that over flowers/chocolates/practically anything. Happy Valentine’s Day to you as well 🙂
