Inspiration Station

So…I will preface this post by saying that I am not a huge fan of decorating in the “Pottery Barn Style”. They have a lot of really great pieces, but if you don’t add your own flare and sense of self, the room can turn out looking a bit like a wasteland of white and beige.
That said…I do love perusing their catalog. While I’ve never actually bought or owned anything from Pottery Barn (I can usually find something comparably cool for less $), the catalogs offer a great source of inspiration. For example, after seeing this home office I absolutely fell in love with the idea of storing cute office supplies in clear jars. It’s a great way of making your home decor functional as well as beautiful.

Here’s my take on the concept:
OK…I’ll admit that magnifying glasses aren’t exactly functional unless you’re a senior citizen, but they looked nice and I didn’t have any other office supplies laying around the house that would look good in a large grouping.
Now to the real point of this post.
I stumbled upon this sort of hidden link on the Pottery Barn website. It’s cleverly camouflaged in the upper right hand corner of their home page where it says “design tips”. Once you click on this sneaky, little link you will be transported to a web page of design inspiration called Style House. Who new? It’s super cool and definitely worth a look.
Check out the Inspiring Wall Solutions. Definitely my favorite.
