Antiquing with Anna

Today I went antiquing in Sellwood with my friend Anna. It was a lovely time. We had lunch at the Garden State food cart. I’d wanted to eat there since seeing it reviewed in Sunset magazine and it didn’t dissapoint. I had the Spicy Chickpea Sandwich and it was delicious (here’s the recipe!). After lunch the antiquing began and while I didn’t end up with any large finds (I almost never have the guts to take the plunge with big ticket items) I found a few cute little odds and ends.
An cute little spice container
A 1937 postcard of Griffith Park observatory (my parents met for the first time there)
Scrabble tiles to spell our last name (I scoured the bin for an “M”, but alas had to settle for an upside down “W”)
Fairly successful I’d say :).

  1. Lauren! I love your blog. I’m about to go help someone move (as much as somebody who’s 8 months pregnant is helpful with anything), but I’m excited to look at it more later. Although it makes me sad to see pictures of you because I miss you! Bryan and I were just talking about you the other day for some reason and I was telling him about all the wonderful times we had. Oh! I was telling him about swing races. Haha. He didn’t quite understand. Or he did and he thought we were lame. He’s probably right. Oh well. Have a wonderful day!
