the week should be the weekend.

I think the week
should be the weekend.

Then we could work for two days.
And have five days off.
That would be lovely.
Dontcha think?

If this was the case I could do more fun things.

Here are the fun things I was able to fit into this weekend…

FRIDAY:
dinner here.
played pinball.
ate pizza.
drank ginger beer.

Then we got to see my lovely Claire and her husband Matt.  They were in town from L.A.  We love them and I miss Claire something fierce.  We were college roommies and were both in each other’s weddings and I pretty much love her a ridiculous amount.  It was so good to get to see them both…. even if it was only for a short time.  I also got to catch up with some other beautiful ladies and it was a lovely time.  Oh…and don’t mind my gigantor forehead.  I seriously need to get my bangs cut so I don’t have to pin them back anymore.  Hopefully on Tuesday.

SATURDAY:
Slept in.  Then went thrifting with my friend Caile.
We didn’t get this.  But it was pretty fabulous, no?
Then we hung out in the sunshine.
 Ate burgers.
Drank milkshakes.
Chatted for hours.
It was lovely.
After that I went to a birthday dinner for my brother.
Burritos + ice cream cake.  What could be better?
Then came home and watched “The Hangover” with Craig.
I’d never seen it.  Pretty hillarious.

SUNDAY:
Made snickerdoodle cookies for my
“Baked Good of the Month Club”.

I suck at the Baked Good of the Month Club.
I’m supposed to make a sweet treat every month for my dad and Craig’s dad.  This was their Christmas gift.  Well…. it’s currently February 22nd and they just got their treat for January.  Ooops.  It’s the thought that counts, right?  Hmmmm….maybe not with this one.

Then lunch with my parents.

Later we went to Toro Bravo for my
mother-in-law’s birthday.

I wanted to save my little sanpellegrino bottle cause I thought it would make a cute vase.  But sadly my waitress took it away when I wasn’t looking.
We ate yummy tapas.
Grilled bacon wrapped dates in honey.
Chorizo & manchego on rustic bread.
Salt cod fritters with aoili.
Grilled flat bread with black truffle cheese & arugula.
etc….etc….etc…..
DELICIOUS.
And we had gelato for dessert.
I think maybe I ate a bit too much yumminess this weekend.  I’ll have to make up for it this week I guess.
How was your weekend?

We had a nice weekend, went to a vietnamese restaurant and watched movies, I got emotionally blackmailed into attending a tupperware party which made me want to injure myself with something plastic, Adam got a new tattoo, we saw Shutter Island at the movies, and did a tiny amount of chores. It goes so fast. I glad you had such a fun filled weekend! x
