weekend schmeekend.

This weekend was pretty lazy.
Just the way I like it :).

FRIDAY:

Blizzards and Carnitas tacos for dinner.
We watched Visioneers.
Super strange, but I kind of liked it.
After that we just caught up on DVR’d shows.
Nothing super exciting.
SATURDAY:

Went to Zumba in the morning.
Then met up with my friend Liz
I’m always such a sucker for the flowers.
I didn’t actually buy any though.
I did buy some of this
ginger garlic jelly.

I love to put it on sandwiches,
chicken and whatever else I can think of.
It’s delicious!
You can order it online here.

Then we had Tastebud Farm pizza.
Asparagus and goat cheese.
We split it and still only
ate 1/2!
When I got home Craig and I played with Marley.
Craig tried to do “agility” with her.
She wasn’t a huge fan of the milk crates.
Too much like sewer grates.
She hates those and refuses to walk on them.
Silly dog.
THEN….

We went to dinner with Craig’s parents
I had margherita pizza
delicious ginger brew
and split a Rhubarb apple crisp
topped with almond cream
with Craig.
YUM!
Then we went to see Iron Man 2.
It was good.
But I fell asleep during a bit.
I only missed some explosions though.

SUNDAY:

After church I hung out with Jamie.
All we did was lounge around,
read magazines,
eat cookies
and drink cocoa :).
Perfection.
Later I watched the Survivor season finale.
I don’t know if anyone else watches it,
but Sandra won and it was ridiculous.
I still think Russell should’ve won.
He’s a total douche, but he’s good at the game.
The whole thing is a lame popularity contest.
OK.  That’s all.  I said my peace.

AND….

That was my weekend!

Hope yours was lovely!

  3. Sounds like a great weekend! Especially the part about rhubarb apple crisp… that’s one of my favorite things on the planet!

  4. Looks like a wonderful weekend. I love blizzards, so I was hooked from the start of this post. Marley is so cute!

  5. Wow – what a busy weekend! I love that you’re teaching your dog agility work… If we had more room in our yard, I’d love to do something like that with my dog… he always has so much energy. And Tastebud Farm looks pretty fabulous!

  6. Wow I’m totally impressed with Marley! At least she tried. My dogs would run around like goofballs.
    That pizza looks scrumptious!

  7. I was so confused by the finale and then I was disappointed. Why Sandra? I can’t believe that she was able to win Survivor twice. With the final three, I didn’t want any of them to win but if I had to choose, I would have wanted Pavarti to win.

  8. that sounds like a fabulous weekend! enough to do, but also plenty of time to lounge around! we went on a mini road trip… only 6 hours, but i think i’ll still count it! 🙂

  9. Looks like a great weekend to me! Ours was pretty lazy and full of sun and barbecue. Mmm.

  10. sounds like a most perfect weekend. mine was similar to yours in that i got to see and spend time with lots of the people i love! i also watched iron man 2 and thought it was great. i couldn’t stop looking at and thinking about mickey rourkes’s finger nails….

    happy week to you!

  11. look at marley girl and her obediance skills. is craig for hire, because my little fur balls are in major need of some training….

    xo

  12. that sounds like the perfect weekend 🙂 now i am hungry reading about all the yummy food you had! maybe i should eat some breakfast… and love that craig did agility training with marley.that is so awesome. maybe someday we will get mosey to do stuff like that! baby steps right? love you girl! hope you have a fabulous monday!

  13. I have to agree with you about Survivor! I mean Russell plays one mean Survivor game. It’s too bad none of those jury members can appreciate the gamesmanship of that!

  14. 🙂 Farmer’s Market! Did a bit of that this weekend too! Looks like such a lovely weekend Lauren!

P.S. Be sure to visit and enter my first Giveaway!

  15. I love farmers markets, unfortunately there aren’t any good ones here. My dog would have barked at those crates.

  16. It figures that the one Saturday you go to the farmer’s market is the only one that I’ve missed! Let me know next time you plan on going, and we could plan on bumping into each other there! Sounds like you had a lovely weekend!

  17. sounds like a fun weekend!! I haven’t been to the Saturday Market yet this year- I need to get down there!!

I’m hosting a giveaway this week! Come check it out!

  18. haha I love the agility course! She seems like such a pleaser and probably just wanted to make him happy! Both those pizzas sound super good! I’ve been wanting to go to the Lake Oswego farmers market and get some flowers. I have soo many magazines to catch up on! Sometimes I feel pressure when the next issue comes in the mail and I haven’t finished the first! oh well. Have a great day!

  19. Sounds like a great weekend!! And, I must say I am so excited to visit Portland!!! XO

  20. my new rule: do not read lauren’s weekend wrap-ups on an empty stomach! oh how i want pizza now!

i love marley. i wish you could bring her to california.

  21. This weekend sounds PERFECT! Glad it was a good one!

  22. sounds like a weekend of GOOD Portland food!

  23. Your dog is so cute.

    And that pizza looks YUMMY

  24. I was at the Farmer’s Market too! We always watch the people at the Tastebud booth making the delish pitas and pizzas but have never tried either. There are way too many tasty looking things to try at the Farmers Market! Maybe this weekend will be the one. 🙂

  25. Aw, Marley looks adorable!! Sabin would never, I mean never try that! He would probably just nose at the crates until they fell down, and then he’d run away!

Both of your pizzas sounded delicious!!

  26. ew really? i can’t stand russell. but sandra didn’t really do much for me either. i would’ve picked jerri or parvati

  27. Our farmer’s market finally opened this weekend – it will be a certain Saturday stop every weekend until the fall.

I tagged you on my blog today – check it out and play along if you want!

  31. I was at the market too! But later in the day! I love the tastebud pizza!

  32. love lazy weekends!

  33. this sounds like an amazing weekend!

pizza sounds great, and your pup is so cute. i love german shepherds… so pretty.

  34. Well, now I don’t have to waste two hours watching Survivor. I don’t like the show, but Russell is a beast and he made it almost interesting. I’m bummed he didn’t win, but I’m thrilled I don’t have to set time aside to actually watch it now. Haha!

Your weekend sounds a lot more eventful than mine was.

  35. totally agree about russell, he’s the best player ever.

i really dont like parvati btw.

  36. Hi friend, I had tons of fun with you at the farmers market! We need to do it again… soon! And then make some delicious jam!! Love you!
