Today’s theme for Fill in the Blank Friday is The 4th of July/summer since it is 4th of July this weekend after all! Sorry to those of you who aren’t in the U.S. and don’t celebrate this holiday….feel free to skip the blanks pertaining to this or make up your own question as a substitute! Oh…and I had to use this photo for today’s blanks….nothing says “4th of July” like firecracker popsicles…or whatever they’re called. I loved these as a kid!
1. This weekend for The 4th of July I’ll be going to church and then maybe brunch in the morning after which we’ll be playing frisbee golf and having a BBQ/maybe finding fireworks somewhere with our friends John and Dana .
2. Fireworks are are a little bit overrated .
3. Nothing says summer like ice cream truck music sounding through the neighborhood, camping with friends and family and late night dinners eaten on the back deck .
4. My favorite summer memory is getting talked into cliff jumping by Craig and a bunch of boys while camping when we were in college – the downside to being the only girl. I was super scared, but I ended up being glad I did it…not sure I’d want to do it again though .
5. My favorite thing about sumer is hiking with friends, lounging in the sun, eating outdoors at every meal possible and the fact that it doesn’t get dark until late .
6. Summer in a word is fun-filled and fancy free. (OK…that’s more than one word…sue me) .
7. If I could choose to have summer or winter year round I’d pick winter. I do love summer, but I like winter clothes better and I like the cozy feeling of being curled up by the fire inside while the rain falls in the cold outside .

ooh, cliff jumping is fun! but a little scary! i wouldn’t do it if i were jumping from too high!
p.s. what is the font you used for the Fill In the Blank picture? I love it! And I don’t think I have it among the bazillion fonts I downloaded a while back when I went font-crazy!
Glad I’m not the only one that things fireworks are a bit overrated.

Lauren! Happy Friday! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned! I love summer… but I also love wearing warm and comfy clothes and being all bundled up..and i am so afraid of cliff jumping! I would rather jump out of a plane again! I think it is so brave that you did it! Anyway, thanks for all your sweet comments girl.. i miss you and hope you are doing fantastic! love you!

ah summer, it is just so magical. i too looove late night meals outdoors in the summer. and bike riding. and eating ice cream. LOTS of ice cream.
I love summer, but I pick autumn – still sunshiny like summer, but with a bit of a chill so you can wear riding boots and scarves! 🙂

Fireworks are…double the fun when drunk!!! One time I happened to end up quiiite tipsy and some fireworks went off and I was in awe, saying “There’s TWO of EVERY ONE!!” haha
