weekends make my life.

This weekend I….

Saw Zooey D. and M. Ward make beautiful musical babies together

Concert outfits.

Zooey D. was so stinking cute!
And M. Ward’s voice was like pure magic.

The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall is so pretty!

Saturday I went to The Pumpkin Patch (again!), but this time I went with my friends James, Ash & Donelle and we actually didn’t get pumpkins, but I took pictures of some anyway.

We did however get some really pretty flowers.

Later on Craig and I went to see “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” with my parents.
I really liked it and would definitely recommend it.

Sunday I went to The Waffle Window with my friend Jamie and her husband Matt.

My favorite waffle was the one with brie, bacon, basil and apricot preserves on it.  YUM!  I’m definitely recreating this at home some time soon!

My afternoon was spent baking more pumpkin chocolate chip muffins with my friend Liz.  Yes.  I made them again.  I’m mildly obsessed with them.  Then in the evening, Craig and I watched “Marley & Me” with our Marley dog, who was actually not named after said movie or book (she was named after the little girl in “I Am Legend”, because there was a German Shepherd in the movie.  The dog’s name was Samantha, but I thought the little girl Marley had a cuter name).  She liked it, and we all snuggled up together on the couch and watched it.  It’s moments like this that remind me of how blessed my life is.  I love my little family :).

Hope you all had lovely weekends
and spent them with those you love!

    YOUR TEXAN FRIEND

  23. I LOVE She & Him. In fact, I pretty much love everything Zooey D touches. But especially their music. Also, you are your friends are so stinkin’ cute. 🙂

  24. What a fun weekend! Beautiful flowers, neat Pumpkin Patch looks so fun. You looked so cute for that outing! I was a Grinch about the Pumpkin Patch this year. I think I have gone 100’s of times with my three kids. I made them buy them from…..gasp…the Grocery Store this year. I know, it was pathetic, but I just could not face another hay ride and walking through dirt for an hour to lug a large squash back to the hay wagon. All in all, it was a fun weekend. Grocery Store Pumpkins got carved, our beloved Giants won, and we enjoyed some much needed rain. Have a lovely week. -K

  25. Fun, fun, fun stuff!
Weekends make my life too 🙂

  26. Lauren–am completely jealous that you saw the adorable zooey and m.ward. I am dying to go sometime. You can’t beat a weekend like that:)

  27. stop being so cute already, would ya? sheesh! 🙂

  28. I love the Schnitzer. My husband and I went to see the Symphony play there when he was living in Portland. Makes me want to go back!
