if i could do it again.

I loved my wedding dress.
Simple, lace a-line.
You can’t really go wrong.

BUT….

If I had it to do all over I would go with something a little different and it would definitely be made by Elizabeth Dye

Check out some of my favorites
from Elizabeth’s current collection:

I still have dreams of a picnic-esque summer wedding.  Complete with red and white gingham  accents and sack lunches.  These lovely short numbers would satiate these dreams. Oh…and check out those oxfords!  Genius styling.

If I were to go for something longer, these would be in the running.
Such lovely simple elegance.

All of these dresses are absolutely lovely though (as is the photography and styling!) and I would love to wear each and every one.

{See the rest of the 2011 collection here at Elizabeth’s blog.}

If you are lucky enough to live in Portland you can have Elizabeth Dye whip you up a dress at her brick and mortar shop: The English Dept., but if you live further away, you can also order from Elizabeth on etsy.

Hope you enjoyed this
bit of loveliness in your day!

  1. Swoon! Love it…oh, and the many different weddings I have in my dreams! I lived everything about my own wedding, but would love to marry the same wonderful man again…but, this time it’d have a twenties look to it, or a carnival theme, or maybe a 1960s cocktail party…

  2. these are all very cute and I love the last one, so special, but Lauren, you looked STUNNING!

  3. elizabeth dye is pretty amazing, isn’t she?

    p.s. your dress was beautiful!

  4. Her dresses are beautiful! We should all have wedding do-overs every few years to incorporate the latest trends. 😉

  5. Isn’t it funny how even if we totally loved our weddings we’d change things about them if we had a second chance?

  6. such pretty styles!
delicate and more “old fashioned” in a new little way.
I like them all so much!

  7. My sister wants a short wedding dress! I can’t wait to show her these!

  8. *Sigh* I love Elizabeth Dye’s dresses. I kind of wish I had known about her work before I got married, too, but then the wedding would have cost a lot more, and I wouldn’t have been able to wear my great-grandmother’s wedding dress 🙂

  9. ahh so pretty! I love the 2nd one down! We walk by her shop every once in a while and my eyes are glued to the windows everytime!

  10. love love LOVE those… thanks for sharing! (and your wedding picture is just so so cute) 🙂

  11. I love Elizabeth’s dresses. She’s incredible.

  12. You are the third blogger I’ve read today swooning over other wedding dresses — too funny!!
These are very dainty and pretty :]

  13. I adore that first dress! If it was long I would say heck yes! Her dresses are beautiful, and it’s amazing to have a dress made just for you. I don’t think I would change my dress, but it’s fun to imagine. Maybe if I could do 100 weddings and have a different dress in all of them. Now that would be awesome.

  14. They are so cute, those short ones. I still love my wedding outfit 11 yrs on :O am i that old!?

  15. I love your dress!! AND, I actually tried on a dress like the last one and it looked horrible on me .. LOL! My mom made me try on dresses because believe it or not my dress was the first one I tried on LOL it found me! Hugs friend! xo
