my favorite thing about today #53.

Here is a list of my favorite things
 about this weekend:

Styling boudoir shoots at The Ace Hotel with the lovely Lisa Warninger.  It was so much fun, but SO much work. 11 mini photo shoots in two days is a LOT and I wasn’t even the one behind the camera!  I came home on Sunday afternoon and took a 2 hour nap right when I walked in the door, but it was so worth it.  Lisa is so great to work with.

Seeing Due Date and playing pool at The Kennedy School with some friends on that blind double date I mentioned.  Update: it wasn’t awkward.

Craig ordering Showtime so we can watch Dexter and getting us takeout on Sunday night.  He never goes and picks up our takeout, but he did because, he knew how hard I was working this weekend with styling the shoots :).  I have a pretty great husband.  And yes.  That is a picture of Dexter on our TV.

Oh…and my last favorite thing about this weekend was finally trying Little Big Burger with Lisa.  And yes – it is as delicious as everyone has said.  OK….that’s it.

What were your favorite things
about your weekend?

  1. Dexter is mine and Mac’s favorite show. We are slightly addicted. Little big burgers sounds enticing! Way to go on styling all those shoots Lauren .. you are so inspiring!!!! Getting so excited to see you!!! XO!

  2. that photo shoot sounds like so much fun! love the photos from the last one. we ordered showtime while weeds & the big c were in season. we tried watching dexter but could only get through the first 5 minutes of the 1st episode. too graphic for us. but i have heard its a great series.

  3. i LOVE dexter!! i just finished season 4 ahh so good:) have you watched them all? if not, season 1 and 2 are on instant on netflix for free:)

  4. Yay, sounds like a wonderful weekend Lauren!

  5. thumbs up to you for working on the weekend. looks like such a fun job though. my favorite thing about the weekend was eating pizza on party plates and buying a new vacuum.. true story.

  6. I would like to say that I had a weekend as interesting as yours but my highlight was that we cleared and cleaned the whole house hehe.
I bet the shoot was fun despite the long hours. I’d love to do something like that one day, or help out on a shoot for the experience and the vibes. Awesome 🙂

  7. Eh, I liked little big boogy too but still thought the burgers were still too small. That’s why I call it “Too Little Big Burger.” Ha. Bring on the 5 guys!

Glad you had a busy, yet fun weekend. Hugs,
    Dana

  8. We went away for hubs 40th 🙂 yeh i’m married to a 40yr old haha x

  9. I forgot about Dexter! (I’ve been slowly catching up on seasons via Netflix). What a great hubby you have! Sounds like you deserved it, little miss working woman:-) xoxo

  10. Wow, that sounds really tiring. I bet it was so fun though!

  11. I went to the Ace hotel in Palm Springs and now I want to make it a point to visit them all. I can’t imagine working that hard and doing so many photo shoots in such a short period of time. No wonder you crashed and napped for hours!
Aren’t clever husbands the best? Yay for take-away supper!

  12. Sounds so fun! I’m so glad you are getting to do things you are passionate about! And you are so good at styling!

  13. I hope that you can post some pictures from the photo shoot, I really want to see them. That’s a cute idea, just a mini valentines day session. And you did this on top of your regular job, it must have felt like you didn’t have a weekend at all.

  14. i love DEXTER!!!! and i cant wait to see the shoots you styled!
