Happy Friday!
I know you’re all thrilled that it’s finally the end of the week, and this also means….it’s time for filling in some blanks! If you want to play along, just fill in the blanks over at your blog and then link up using the link at the end of this post. Let’s start…..
1. The best deal I’ve ever gotten is a vintage leather Michael Kors belt that I thrifted for I think $6 and also the pair of green mid-century chairs I got off of Craigslist last week – $60 for both! I love them (see the photo at the end of this post) .
2. If I were hosting a dinner party and could invite people from my fantasy guest list it would include Karl Lagerfeld to design the wardrobe for me and my guests, Emily Henderson to design the dining space, Andy Ricker (of Pok Pok) to make the meal, Chelsea Fuss to create the floral centerpieces, M. Ward to serenade us with lovely dinner tunes and Lisa Warninger to document the entire soiree on film. Then I’d invite a ton of bloggy friends and our real life friends. I’d also invite Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell and Will Ferrell to keep the conversation funny and interesting. Apparently I put a lot of thought into this .
3. Something that inspires me is everything. I am constantly being inspired by my surroudings. Sometimes I get inspired by the weirdest things – like a crack in the sidewalk or a little bird bathing in a rain puddle. But also, if I’m going to be more conventional I’d have to say other bloggers. I’m always amazed by how crafty, stylish, domestic, creative, *insert adjective here* everyone is .
4. If I could only choose to eat one flavor of food for the rest of eternity (sweet, salty, spicy, bitter….) I would have to go with this would be a terrible choice to have to make, because I adore all of these flavors in their own rite, but especially the salty + sweet combo, but if I had to pick only one I’d go with salty, because sweet would get old after awhile .
5. I dream about nothing at night – I seriously never remember my dreams except for this one. But I have day dreams about lots of things – not having to work anymore and just pursuing creative endeavors all day, reading a book on a tropical beach instead of being stuck in rainy Portland, drinking a midday margarita, having a closet filled to the brim with loveliness, etc., etc…. Just depends on the day 🙂 .
6. My weekend will be spent having date night with Becca & Chris, coffee/lunch/manicures with my mom for her birthday, church and possibly some other socializing plans that have yet to be ironed out .
7. If I could only watch one movie or TV show for the rest of my life, it would be a terrible decision to make and I don’t really think I could do it. Maybe Arrested Development, but honestly, I just can’t think of anything I’d want to watch that many times. I think I’d rather choose nothing than grow to hate a movie I loved .

Stephen Colbert is awesome, I also find inspiration in almost everything and Arrested Development is freakin’ hilarious!
The chairs look great- I really lean toward masculine pieces and these are lovely. I would love to see more Hallway fashions.

i love when i remember my dreams! last night i dreamt that I had dinner with my family, some of whom have been long gone. it was so nice to “see” them again. i love your fill in the blank fridays! and i hope you have a really awesome dream to remember soon! 🙂
