spring time is my favorite.

This weekend it finally felt like spring!
Here’s how I spent it….

FRIDAY
relaxed at home.

We watched Steve Carrell’s final Office episode and I totally cried at the end.  I didn’t know I was so attached to Michael Scott.  I think it was seeing Michael and Jim all teary that did me in.  Something about guys crying gets me every time.

SATURDAY

Attended a flower class taught by Chelsea Fuss of Frolic! and had such a great time learning how to make a French hand-tied bouquet (I’ll show you my finished bouquet in tomorrow’s post).

Had lunch with my parents and did a bit of window shopping.  Then later on, our friend’s Jamie & Matt came over to watch the Portland Timbers soccer game and we enjoyed it with some strawberry shortcake and champagne for dessert.  Champagne is my favorite.
SUNDAY

We decided to take full advantage of the sun by playing frisbee golf at Pier Park with my brother-in-law Cory and some friends.  Being outside and playing together made it feel like summer really is just around the corner and it made me incredibly happy :).  Later on we went to dinner with our friends Chris & Becca and their adorable little Bennett.  We had pizza at Sellwood Pizza Kitchen and then walked to park and around the cute little neighborhood.  I love Sellwood.  I want to move there.  We had fun acting like kids at the park :).

On our walk back to the car Craig made me a “progressive bouquet”.  Kind of like a progressive dinner where you stop and eat at different people’s houses throughout the evening…. Well…. Craig stopped and picked different flowers for me as we walked back.  I told him not to steal flowers, but I do give him points for trying to woo me :).

This weekend was lovely and I can’t wait for many more sunny weekends like it to come!  How was your weekend?  Did you have good weather too?

Happy Monday!

  6. I haven’t watched the office at ALL this year. I used to be such a dedicated fan, but for some reason, I fell off the bandwagon.

We did have good weather here on the other side of the country, but I didn’t spend much time outdoors due to the high pollen counts and severe allergies. 🙁

  13. First of all, jealous of the frisbee golf.
