Drinking delicious cocoa and sharing a chocolate croissant, a vanilla bean cheese danish and an orange anise pastry with James & Ash at Lovejoy Bakers
Weekends are also for backyard fire pits with friends, watching movies (and Justin Timberlake on SNL being his hilarious self), reading books, going to the farmer’s market, antiquing with Craig and making real breakfasts instead of just eating cereal. This weekend was lovely.

Your posts like this make me want to move back to Portland! (It’s where I grew up…).
I never make it long enough to stay up for SNL, but I just had to watch Justin. I was so tired, but it was totally worth it.
mmmmm, lauren, this all looks so delicious (minus the chocolate, of course)! i especially like the sound of a vanilla bean cheese danish! i was just telling someone recently that i’m surprised we don’t have food trucks or carts around here like other cities do; the food from them always looks and sounds delicious!

Oh my your weekend did look delicious! I’m a bit jealous. My weekend highlights… I went to a college friend’s Ordination (as a Catholic priest), and I ran my first race setting a personal record! All in all, not bad, but not nearly as yummy as yours. 🙂

i agree! weekends really are for eating. the husband and i had our anniversary getaway, and i can really only keep tabs on what we did based on what we ate!
