fill in the blank friday.

Happy Black Friday!

Today just so happens to be the craziest shopping day of the year.   But, hopefully in the midst of it all you’ll take a moment to fill in some blanks…it’s always more fun when you play along :).

1.   Waking up at the break of dawn to go shopping is my idea of     a holiday tradition. Although I’m not that hardcore about it or anything. I usually only go to Fred Meyer’s with my mom to buy 1/2 off socks and tights. We don’t buy gifts for Christmas so there aren’t any super fabulous sales I need to hit up   .

2.   If I were to go shopping today I would be on the hunt for   a camcorder. I want to make sure we have lots of home videos to embarrass our kids with in the future      .

3.  The best thing I ate yesterday was    clam dip and bread pudding. While I love the rest of the Thanksgiving foods, I always end up loading up on clam dip first and can never really eat that much. But thankfully there’s always room for dessert and warm bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is my favorite.    .

4. Something I’ve been learning lately is    that it’s ok to be honest. I’m a total people pleaser, but lately I’ve been a lot more honest with what I’m feeling. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones, but I feel like my guard is down and I just don’t have the patience for faking it. I’m also learning that many times people appreciate honesty far more than flattery   .

5.  I cannot start my day without    my prenatals and my iron supplement. Baby can’t do without those  .

6.  My nighttime attire consists of    a tank top and PJ boxers. I used to sleep layered up, but I’m much more warm-blooded now that I’m pregnant. It’s pretty hilarious when Craig’s going to bed in flannel PJ pants and I’m in shorts asking him to open the window .

7.  I am looking forward to    the weekend. Rest. Relaxation. Leftovers. Yes please  .

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and that
your weekend is just as great!

  1. amen to #4! have fun shopping, hope you get some good steals!

  2. It IS okay to be honest – it’s even good to be. Keep it up. And Flip cameras are SUPER handy, esp with little kids. Great video, easy to carry around and whip out when needed.

  3. great fill in the blank!! loved doing this and shared my link too 🙂

  4. I’m a people pleaser too and I have a really hard time being totally honest with people. I recently had to “woman up” with a coworker and lay down the law and although I felt like a jerk at first I knew that it was the right thing to do.

P.S. I’m hosting TWO giveaways! An Earth to Alice giveaway and a Chickey Designs giveaway. Don’t forget to enter!

  5. Happy Friday girl. And a camcorder is needed that’s for sure! I’ve been MIA but am always reading your posts girl! ;D

  6. Thanks! 🙂 I love doing these!

  7. What a lovely idea this is! I just added my link and will be participating every Friday. I LOVE this!

And I agree about #4 as well. True words right there, although around certain people I choose to keep my thoughts to myself. Otherwise, I’d receive no peace. Some people get defensive so quickly, so you are very brave to embrace that honesty.

  8. clam dip sounds delicious!
hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

  9. My link up is not working. I tried many times today.
And I’ve had problems linking up other weeks too.

  10. Don’t bother getting a camcorder…my mom got us a Flip last christmas and we used it for a while before we got iPhones. Now we just use our phones for videos and since we always have them on us it’s easier to catch the action when it’s happening instead of scrambling to grab something that’s packed away in a closet!

  11. My mom and I used to do the Fred Meyer sock shopping every year as well. I have fond memories of waking up early and going through boxes on socks lining the aisles of the store. I also enjoyed that they always had free doughnut holes.
