Minted Meyer Lemonade

Over the weekend I made some super yummy lemonade.
It was sad when it was gone.

The recipe was a Paula Deen recipe suggested to me by my friend Caroline and it did not disappoint, so I thought I’d pass it along to you with my little tweaks…
Minted Meyer Lemonade
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cup hot water
2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (I specifically used Meyer lemons – they’re sweeter)
1 gallon cold water
Finely chopped mint to taste
Directions:
Pour hot water and sugar in a gallon pitcher and stir until the sugar dissolves (this is the key to not having sugar that settles to the bottom!). Add in the lemon juice and cold water and finish mixing. It’s pretty sweet, so I poured the lemonade over LOTS of ice (*Bonus: it made the lemonade last longer too!). I added the mint to each glass I poured instead of to the entire pitcher as to avoid soggy mint. Make sure to add the mint before pouring the lemonade in the glass or you’ll end up with a giant clump of mint at the top.
Nothing says summer like an iced cold glass of lemonade.
Hope you try this and enjoy!

Do you have a garbage disposal? I am wondering if all those lemons in your sink just got grounded up by a garbage disposal?
