these make me want to be a hipster.

Hipsters kind of annoy me.
And…there are a plethora to be seen out and about Portland riding their fixies, wearing cut-off jean shorts and low V-neck T’s from American Apparel.  Not that there’s wrong with any of these things in and of themselves.  I just hate when people do things just for the sake of being a “hipster”.  This is just my humble opinion.  BUT…I may have been converted in my opinions.
After seeing these lovely illustrations by Nan Lawson I kind of want to be turned into a hipster via a lovely little custom illustration of Craig, Marley and myself.

Nan also makes non-couples sketches and not only are they adorable…they’re actually affordable!  WHAT???  I think this would be super cute as a custom gift for an anniversary or something…maybe for a 1-year anniversary since it’s the “paper anniversary” :).

Go check out the rest of Nan’s creations here or order something custom by e-mailing here.

ALSO…Today is the last day to sign-up for the lovely cowl giveaway I’m hosting!  Enter here.

  28. Oh my gosh these are cute. But I have to agree I don’t like hipsters very much either!

  29. oh my! i LOVE all these!!!

    xo.

  30. Those drawings are really cute, but I mainly like your take on the hipsters in Portland! So funny! We’ve got a growing hipster scene here, and while I like the way they look and the music they listen to, they definitely aren’t the friendliest people, so I’m pretty sure I can’t join that group…and I don’t own enough American Apparel shirts anyway 🙂

  31. these are great! you, craig, and marley would be SO cute as little print hipsters! 🙂

  32. Umm, holy cute. They kind of make me want to be a hipster too. And I’m with you on the whole people do it just because it’s “cool” at that moment. I’m excited to go look at more of his work.

  33. Aren’t these fantastic? I want one too!

  34. I very much agree with your ideas on Hipsters. For sure. Love the prints though 🙂

  35. I totally identify, Austin is a city FULL of serious hipsters. Sometimes I get amused/annoyed by them, but I also think they are pretty cool. And these illustrations are pretty great, so maybe I too will have to become a hipster!
