eating with lisa is my favorite.

I am in complete agreement with this print.

Every time I eat with Lisa Warninger we taste some form of culinary delight so delicious that I find myself claiming with each and every dining experience “This is the best ________ I’ve ever eaten!”  Obviously everything can’t be the best ever, but our lunch this weekend just might have been.

We split the pork meatball banh mi sandwich at Lardo along with their delicious hand cut fries topped with parmesan and fried herbs.  I highly recommend this sandwich and I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other menu items.

Along with our sandwiches we got fizzy lifting drinks from The Sugar Cube and it was quite honestly THE BEST drink I’ve ever had and I am not over-exaggerating.  It was the most refreshing and flavorful beverage and I think everyone should try it.  Ginger ale infused with fresh ginger and a splash of Japanese plum drinking vinegar….pure perfection.  Kir Jensen, proprietor and creative mastermind behind The Sugar Cube is one talented lady.  She also makes the most delicious sweets you could possibly imagine.  If you’re in Portland you must visit her cart.

Did you eat anything delicious this weekend?

  1. Yes, I did eat delicious things this weekend! I had 6 good friends over for a pot-luck dinner tonight, and it went so well! Everybody brought amazing food, and it all went really well together. One friend made the best mango-quinoa salad. Another friend made delicious brownies using beets!! It was all very, very good.

  2. I agree. I have a friend who is my culinary genius. She always takes me to the best places. We have yet to visit a food cart though. I have heard really good things about The Sugar Cube. I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m in Portland.

I have to say your suggestion of Lucy’s Originals has been rocking my world. Divine. Heaven. Perfection. I even ate one today. Sigh. I also gained 2 lbs. So I better reign in my enthusiasm. But holy smokes those burgers are good! Good call!
