If you’ve been following this blog for awhile now, you probably know that my daughter is a lover of all things Disney (this is well-documented here, here, here, here, and all over my Instagram feed). Her favorite characters are Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Sophia the First and pretty much any princess…although she’s most partial to Ariel, Elsa and Anna. She is a girly girl through and through, so the characters she’s typically most drawn to are the ones with the prettiest, twirliest dresses. I can’t blame her…I was totally the same way.
BUT…I was thinking the other day about how fun it will be to introduce Baby Brother to all of the Disney magic too and also thinking about how different his Disney preferences might be. Granted he might be into princesses too, but I have a suspicion I might also become acquainted with the more “rough and tumble” side of Disney. The Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Cars…the Disney that doesn’t include sparkly dresses and I’m kind of excited about it.
As a Kohl’s Disney ambassador, I got a sneak peak at the next chapter of their Magic at Play campaign and it’s all about Disney’s Planes Fire & Resue and it made me wonder if some of these pieces from the new Disney Jumping Beans collection at Kohls will be the type of things he’ll be begging me for one day…much like Fern’s constant pleas for ALL the Minnie shirts.
I’ll admit…I’m a little bit partial to the hoodies. There’s just something about little boys and hoodies that gets me every time. The sweetest!
