Birthday Ballerinas: Part 2

As promised, here are more birthday photos from Fern’s party (see all the party details in my previous post!)…mostly just photos of her looking sweet and pink a frilly in her “sugar plum fairy” outfit (her words), but I totally have to post them all, because 1) I am the absolute worst at printing photos out which makes this blog double as my photo album, and 2) The photos were taken by my lovely friend Pamela Montanez and they are just to dreamy to keep to myself. Also…the fact that she was even able to capture any non-blurry shots with 15 wiggly ballerinas underfoot is a miracle in and of itself!

Also…I totally made this flower crown in like 10 minutes. It cost like $10 to make one for her and a matching one for her doll. Perhaps I should do a tutorial. It’s way cheaper and lazier than most of the floral crown DIYs I saw out there. Would you guys be into that?

Oh…and yes…I made one for her doll and did the doll’s freaking hair, because I’m crazy and clearly have way too much free time (*insert sarcastic emoji face*).

Birthday Ballerinas: Part 2: @ The Little Things We Do

When the girls first arrived they pretty much spent the first 20 minutes twirling and oohing and ahhhing over one another’s frilly pink ensembles.

After that they spent some time enjoying Fern’s birthday present that her Daddy set up for her…her very own ballet barre! It was a hit!

Oh…and I almost forgot to mention that the absolute vest part of Fern’s entire birthday party was the fact that my wonderful, sweet and talented sister-in-law actually taught all of the little girls ballet! She used to be a ballerina and broke out her pointe shoes to teach. You should’ve seen their sweet little faces when she was dancing on pointe. So, so cute!

I love her stance in this one. Reminds me of the tragedy of first position…ballet is hard!ballet3A little freestyle action…

A few more of Fern, because can you ever have too many photos of your girl dressed up in a sweet, pink tutu? (BTW…who even am I? Remember my pink-hating ways?!)
