On Fall Perfection and Tiny Human Dress-Up Dolls

Fall is my absolute favorite season. It is proof that God loves us and does not want us to have to spend an entire 365 days being either miserably hot or miserably cold. Fall is pure perfection in my personal opinion…cool, crisp, sunny (at least sometimes sunny…since we still live in the rather rainy PNW). It’s quite lovely. In other news, I almost titled this post “Fall is Bae”, but then I remembered that even though I’m a millenial…I’m not a 20-year-old millenial and it sounded kind of ridiculous. But I digress…

Aside from the weather and the delicious treats (pumpkin chocolate chip muffins anyone?) Fall will always and forever signal the season of new wardrobe possibilities. Fall just feels like a time for reinvention…like you can finally be whoever it is you want to be courtesy of your revamped wardrobe. French ingenue…modern minimalist…colorful maximalist…it’s all fair game.

Unfortunately this Fall I am feeling a bit “meh” about filling my own wardrobe, because #postpartumproblems. The good news is that I have tiny little people who still let me choose their clothes (sometimes) so I can live vicariously through them and their adorable wardrobes. Every once in awhile though, I let someone else do the styling and it’s fun to see what they come up with! Enter FabKids.

These outfits are kind of ridiculous in the absolute best way and the entire thing was styled and chosen for them (based on the style profiled I filled out) by FabKids. I love that every component of these outfits was totally kid-friendly; comfortable, durable and best of all: AFFORDABLE. Music to a mama’s ears…especially when you have kids like mine who seem to rip holes in their clothes on a near daily basis lately. Also, I love that the clothes are stylish and on-trend, but still age appropriate. I like dressing my kids up in stylish attire as much as the next parent, but I also still want them to look like kids.

I kind of (really) want Fern’s ensemble and Clive LOVED his “lightning shirt”. He wore it three days in a row! I really love kids in black, because it masks the inevitable messes…like the glass of water Fern spilled on herself right before I took these photos. *Eye roll* BUT…we pressed on (mostly because I wasn’t about to do her hair again later, but that’s beside the point)!

During this “mini driveway photo shoot” (my neighbors surely think we are completely insane), Fern showed Clive how to properly pose for outfit photos and it was ridiculously precious.
